My best friend and I had pedicures for the first time today. I've never had one before because I hate feet, I'm ticklish, and have always been totally freaked out at the idea of someone messing with my feet. I have small feet, and they're a little dry, but not cracked or anything. I was stilled paranoid about them being grossed out by them. I was really surprised that I actually enjoyed it! Dumb questions, but how often do you get them done? How much do you typically pay for one? How much do you tip?

During the summer I get one every 2 to 3 weeks. During the winter once a month or so.

I try to go at least once a month. Sometimes 3 weeks or so. Pedicures here range from about $25 for a basic pedicure up to about $55 or so for the works, which would include a hand and shoulder massage, hot stone, reflexology, hot wax, etc. I usually get a 2nd or 3rd tier (around $30-$35) because I like the extra massage time. Once in a while I splurge for the high end. DH likes to go too and he usually gets the basic but sometimes splurges. He goes about half of the times that I go.
I tip about 20%.
Most places here have free wine, margaritas, etc. with a mani or pedi.
I go year round, not just in the summer, but I live in Texas so sandal season is long anyway.
ETA: We also have nail salons that are open until midnight (maybe 1 a.m.?) that have live bands on the weekends.

I'm a pedicure junkie. When I'm working I get one every payday pretty much. I've had knee survey on both knees so it is hard to work on my feet myself. I just can't bend my legs the right way. I usually spend around $40-$60 just depending on what spa treatment I want or salon I am at. But you can definitely find them much cheaper. To me it's a big time pampering and I want to relax and make it worth it. I tip 20%.

I only treat myself a handful of times a year, max. They cost $95 for about 85 minutes and I tip 20% +

I get one about twice in the summer and pay $28 plus a $5 tip. That's for the "deluxe" package which includes the spa chair and leg/foot massage. It feels wonderful. I prefer to go with someone but usually end up going alone.

I do a mani-pedi about once a month. For both, if I pay cash, I pay $34 and I leave about 20% tip. I love having someone else make my feet pretty. I do a horrible job and for me, it's a nice treat and some relaxation. I will likely go a bit more during the summer.

I've committed to going every 2 weeks - I manage a restaurant and I'm on my feet for at least 10 hours a day!!! It's worth it! :)I spend an average of $35-40 not including tip. Mine don't include many extras (basically a pedicure + callus remover with a small massage), but I live in LA and the cost of living is higher.
I really want to go to the salon that's open til 1AM - that sounds amazing with the weirdo hours I keep!

Once a month? Every two weeks? Wow - I need to get out more!
Sometimes I only get groceries once a month!
Never had a pedicure. I am somewhat freaked out by the though of acquiring a toenail fungus... LOL I think I have heard too many horror stories. My girls say it is great, though (the pedicure - not the fungus)....

Every 2 weeks and $25 + tip. I chalk it up to self care and wellness.

I get gel on mine, so it's $48, and I tip 20%. Since I get gel, I only go every 4 weeks.

In the summer I get one a month.
In the winter I let it go but I'm not going to do that again, ever. I developed an ingrown toenail and it became painful. So from now on out, I have to look at getting pedicures in the winter as a preventative thing, even though no one will see my feet!

Once in the summer and pay $40 plus tip. The rest of the year I just paint them once a month.

Rarely. I did have one a week and a half ago. It was $25 and I tipped her $15 because I was feeling good and it was a beautiful day and she did a good job and she was really nice.
Normally I do my own pedis but I felt like having a treat after work that day.

Once a month, year round. And I get gel fills and a gel manicure. It's $60 for the whole thing, and I give 20% tip. Welcome to the dark side.

In the summer months - once every 3-4 weeks. I pay $35 +$5 tip.
In the winter I only go once every 6 -8 weeks, depending on how cold (or warm) the winter has been.

In the Summer I go about once a month. In the Winter I do not go at all. They are about $25 (for a no frills pedicure); I always tip about 20%. I am ready to get a pedicure for Spring but the weather has been so bad here no one will see my toes but me; but it might be a nice pick me up.

I'd go regularly in the summer but you can't find a place around here that does them for under $100. So I go once a year, maybe.

We have nothing like this in our small town.

I've never seen a nail salon with free wine!
I get a pedicure every three weeks or so during sandal weather, which is 8-9 months of the year here. Lately I've also been getting shellac manicures, but probably won't keep that up through the summer. It's been really hard on my nails.

I go every six weeks or so in the winter and about every 3 weeks in summer.
I pay anywhere from $30-40 depending on where I go. I tip generously, usually about 30 or 35%. These women work hard. What's a few extra bucks?
I love pedicures!

I get a pedicure every 4 weeks and it is $30 for a manicure & pedicure. I tip $5 on top of that so $35 total.

I try to go once a month in the summer, but love to get them. Prices here range from 25 for the basic "spa" pedicure, to 50-60 for the deluxe. Our tradition when we get our tax refund is to go as a family. The place we go has the special kids chairs and they'll cut DSs nails and he loves it. That alone is worth the money. He gets to choose DH's toe color too, which he thinks is hysterical. DH is currently sporting bright purple toes. As a family it runs us a little over 100 bucks. We literally only do it once a year.

once a month, year round...$35 w/20% tip
it is my monthly treat...though in the winter it is a shame that I cannot show off my pretty, sparkly toes!
my pedicurist and I have become pretty good friends, she doesn't mind that I don't shave my legs in the winter!

Every salons offers free wine and some have margaritas here. (I actually don't drink but believe me, I'm in the minority because almost everyone is sporting their glass of wine during a mani or pedi).

You sit down for a pedi and they offer you free wine/margarita/sometimes other mixed drinks at every nail salon around here. God bless Texas!
