Good morning ladies! I completely forgot until late last night that we have a late start this morning so I slept until 7. Boy did that feel good. Sitting and reading here and drinking my coffee until the kids are off to school. Then it's workout time. I slept on one arm funny and now it hurts so I won't be doing any type of weight training today. Not too much planned for today other than working out and housework. Dinner tonight is flatout pizzas so easy and no prep time. My kind of dinner! Hope you ladies have a great day!!

Good morning! brandy327, what do you put on your flatout pizzas? I find the "crust" so thin that they don't hold much but I like them. I have my walk done, shower done, eating breakfast now, and then I have to take DD for an emergency echocardiogram. Some things happened yesterday, and we are praying she doesn't have fluid around her heart again. If so, it could mean a 3rd heart surgery. Oh man, we are praying hard it's nothing! I will probably have leftover night again as we have so many leftovers. I still have not been able to get used to cooking for 3 instead of 5. Oh well, makes for great lunches too. Have a great day everyone!

I have some paperwork that I need to get done as well as some things around the house. Maybe we will go for a walk if it is nice enough. I have to go to work for a little while when the older boys get home and can watch DS.

Have a great day everyone! Last time we made them we had lean hamburger, peppers and onions. This time we're having turkey pepperoni and onions. Because they don't hold up super well, I try not to overload them with toppings - also helps keep the calories low. LOL I also make them on a pizza pan that has holes on the bottom so it does help to crisp them up a bit and make them a bit more rigid. I'm SO sorry to hear about the things that happened with your dd. I'll pray that she doesn't need more surgery.

Man oh man, while I LOVE the late start for school where I don't have to be up at 5, it REALLY throws me off, schedule wise. By the time I got the last of the kids to school, got home and worked out and got back upstairs it was after 11. I had a few phone calls to make and I just showered and it's almost 1. Less than an hour and I have to go and pick the kids UP.
I had SO much I wanted to get done today and lemme tell you, I got jack crap done. LOL I'm going to try to do a little of it after I pick the kids up but both girls have book reports due next week and were having a REALLY hard time trying to whittle down the details into major events only...I imagine I'll have to help them with that tonight. It was an epic battle with the two of them last night. After repeatedly telling them that they were including too much detail, it ended up with both girls in tears and me and dh telling them to go to talk to the teacher today to find out roughly how long these reports should be. At current, one dd's report was more than a page and it was still focused on the beginning of the book. I tried to tell her that the teacher doesn't want her to rewrite the entire book but she wouldn't listen to me at all. They're doing testing this week so hopefully they can talk to that specific teacher today. They're good students and this is the only homework that they've struggled with all year.
Workout done for the day. Walked/jogged for 25 mins and then did 20 mins on the bike. Burned 300+ calories and it's done for the day. They're saying the weather is supposed to be in the 50s by 3 or 4 and I'd LOVE to go for a walk outside but that all boils down to the book report stuffs.

Well, I survived day 1! I am just focusing on portion control and eating less junky snacks this week. I had a epiphany in the past few weeks that I just can't jump in feet first and change everything. I need to make small changes and just keep working on it. I have always been an all or nothing person and maybe that is why I have always failed. The only down side is I am an immediate results/gratification person so I need to make sure that I don't get down when things are moving as fast as I would like.
Hope everything has a great day!

The last 24 hours have been frustrating for me and I'm trying to move past it all but it's hard. I have a negative Nellie at work and I'm so tired of it. She complains about everything and since I get to work right after her, I get to hear it all. I can't really say anything to our boss because most of the stuff she is complaining about it about our boss - ugh. I told her this morning I didn't want to hear anymore negative talk but then she started in again.
Then my new running shoes hurt my left toes, I have to take them back tomorrow and try something else. My ifit on my treadmill isn't working so I have to deal with that as well. It's just one of those weeks!
I'm trying to stick to my food plan today - it's tough to do when your stressed and you just want to go eat a candy bar!

Hi Girls- I'm back on track today.
B- cottage cheese with a few strawberries, pineapple, and 1/2 banana L- 1/2 sandwich thin, chicken, and a slice of Pepper Jack D- Chicken tenders and probably a flatout wrap with spinach
brandy327- I love those Flatout pizza crusts. Patter- I always bake mine longer and on a higher temp before I put toppings on. The first time I made them, I followed the directions and they were too flimsy. Hope everything goes well for your DD.
fish- Thanks- that recipe looks good. I always struggle with low carb dinners- there's only so much you can do.

Thanks everyone for the thoughts. Echo was clear now we are waiting on her chest x-ray results. I texted our doctor so waiting for him to tell us where we go next. Hopefully it's a night at home as usual!

Then my new running shoes hurt my left toes, I have to take them back tomorrow and try something else. I buy my running shoes one size larger than my normal shoe size so that there's extra room in the toe box. So for regular shoes, I buy a 7 or 7.5 (depending on the shoe) and for running shoes, I usually get a size 8.

So, I just took an "in progress" pic and compared it to my "before pic" from October. I can tell absolutely no difference. I have lost 10-15 lbs, depending on the day and my clothes are slightly looser but there is not the drastic difference that I see in a lot of before and after photos where the person has lost the same amount of weight. I am going to to focus more on those changes than the scale but am curious how to make those changes more noticeable. For example, there are a lot of people who post before and after pics on some of the IF and 5:2 pages I am on and they have made a lot of progress in shorter periods of time. Many of them are not even exercising. So what gives? I know I need to step up my workouts and go outside of my comfort zone. Any other ideas? That said, my overall shape isn't bad but I need to shed some fat and make the muscles more noticeable.

Forgive me peas for I have sinned. I ate an entire pizza today. It was a small, but still an entire pizza. I am disgusted with myself.

Well crap - total backfire at dinner today!
DH and I found ourselves alone - both girls were working, and DS was at his girlfriend's house.
So we went deck furniture shopping, and then went to Turtle Jacks for dinner.
I opted for the Thai salad with grilled chicken (minus the mandarin oranges).
Damn! I got home and entered it into MFP - and then just about fell over. 96 carbs!! in one salad!!
I was waffling between that one and the blackened chicken & goat cheese - and checking the online nutritional info, I should have gone for this one!
Now - I didn't have the oranges in it, so I'm sure it was lower, and I only ate one bite of the "crisp" that came with it. But I'm going to say there must have been a heck of a lot of sugar in that dressing!!

I had another one of those afternoons where I couldn't get enough to eat. It's annoying. But I ate within my calories but the afternoon snacks are annoying the hell out of me. Tomorrow's a new day and I'd better not be hungry at 4. LOL

The guy at the running store put me in shoe 1/2 size smaller and I don't think that was the right idea. My foot was slipping in the 10 so we went 9.5 and now it's too small. I think I should have gone with the 10 and just laced my left one tighter.

There's a variety of ways to lace to avoid slipping - look up heel lock lacing on Pinterest.
