DD will be 18 soon and I am at a loss as to what to get her. She doesn't care for jewelry and always loses it. We will get her a new laptop when she leaves for college. She says "oh I don't need anything ".
Any ideas? I'd like something nice, or memorable since this is a milestone birthday.

I think concert tickets is a good suggestion. If that's a no go, some other "event" (play, opera, or whatever she likes) or even a weekend away with you. To a spa/resort or some other fun weekend.

a watch but i do realize that young people may not be inclined to wear them
diamond earrings - just because she doesn't wear much jewelry now...doesn't mean she might not in the future
a fitbit?
an apple watch?
beats/bose headphones?
something for her car -
an experience - zip lining - rock climbing - skydying

Does she need things for college? Is she staying in a dorm? Mini fridge, xl- twin sheets, shower caddy, etc.
Maybe sweatshirts or swag from her future school? If her school is big on sports, football tickets for future games?
Since she's graduating soon, maybe pay for dinner with her high school friends (especially if any of them are moving away).

Luggage? Boring but practical at this age...and she can use it for years to come.

a nice watch? even a non-jewelry person might like a watch.
Or some nice equipment to go with a hobby she likes? (hiking equipment if she likes the outdoors, or something like that.)
