I'm going to a fundraiser in a couple of weeks and it's a Pound Auction. You bring a pound (or close to) of something. A pound of cookies, M&M's, cheese, whatever. I'd like to come up with something that isn't food related because I'm sure there will be lots of that, but I'm kind of stumped. I know the Refupeas are very creative so some ideas would be welcome. So what would you take?

Is it supposed to be something that gets auctioned off? Like something someone would want?

Do they still make those Pound Puppies stuffed toys? A gift basket of those would be cute!

Sand. If they don't like it you can tell them to pound sand.
I did a quick check of Amazon under "pound" They do sell a pound of rubber bands. That might be fun.

How about a pound of dog or cat treats and toys? This is an awesome idea! One of the charities that is being supported by the fundraiser is the local humane society.

A pound of any kind of money- coins, bills, etc. (of course that would be pricy for you, but could bring in big bucks for the charity)
A pound of office supplies- pens, pencils, staples, paper clips, etc all in a clear plastic shoe box from the dollar tree.
A potted plant/flower that weighs a pound.

I second yarn or fabric. It could be a pound of any craft supply. Buttons, thread, ribbon, felt, beads. Most skeins are about 4oz-6oz. 4 skeins would equal a pound. You could create a color scheme.
About 3-4 yards of cotton fabric equals a pound.
16 spools of regular thread would come close to a pound. JoAnn's is having an awesome sale right now.

Pound of nice coffee and a cute mug? And I totally second a pound of fun, brightly colored office supplies.

Pound of flesh? Pound of weed? Sorry, I'm clearly warped and the wrong person to ask.
