That's so cool and sweet. I'm so sorry you're going through so much. (((hugs))) I just wish I could cook with elaine --her cooking style is so much like what I like--would love to see her pressure canner at work and watch what she does with her pressure cooker. I also would love for oh yvonne to teach me how to cook beans and rice and other Mexican dishes. I've thought about filming a pie crust video because people are so afraid of doing pie crusts and they're so easy--especially with a food processor. Maybe I'll do it after I move. I've also thought about doing a pound cake video--you have to cream the butter and sugar just right and not overmix, and it took me years to develop the right technique. I would have killed for a video tutorial. The peas are so cool and share so much. I love this place.

? ? ? Edit: I don't know why my "love" emojis are showing up as . They are fine in the preview screen but turn to As soon as I post. So just imagine three emojis with hearts for eyes, ok? WTH? Now emojis are showing up in my message? I give up! And when I typed three question marks in a row, I got an emoji above but when I type them at the end of this sentence they don't change???

Such a nice story!
I was the lucky recipient of a couple of generous RAK last year (from members of a UK forum I post on ) when I was having my chemo and radiotherapy and it really did lift my spirits.

That's awesome. I bought a pressure cooker last fall and I love it. You'll have to do a search of the pressure cooker posts. You'll be amazed at everything you can make with it.

I put in some heart emojis and they are showing up as question marks in my phone. I'll see if I can fix it. Thanks for pointing it out.

This is awesome. I'm actually sitting here with tears in my eyes. Kudos to elaine , J u l e e , and jenjie . I think of you often, shescrafty . I hope you, your dh, and your son are hanging in there. Me too. Those same two sweet peas were there for me as well, almost 10 years ago, I am not surprised by their sweet gesture. I love this place. So many many wonderful peas here. I wouldn't leave for the world. ShesCrafty, You will love your InstantPot, makes life a whole lot easier, I love mine, thanks to Elaine's threads that taught me so much. Love to everyone, I feel like hugging someone, think I'll startle my co-workers?

Today I came home and saw a package on my step from 2 kind 2peas members- elaine and J u l e e it was an instant pot pressure cooker, and as I stood in my kitchen and literally cried because I was overwhelmed by how kind it was and how these 2 kind souls who have never even met me or us went out of their way to do something because they are nice. It really is amazing. When my husband came home he asked where I got it and I explained who it was from and he was speechless for a while. On a funny note he just came in to the room I am in and said, "I keep thinking it's like a slow cooker but it's the OPPOSITE-it does so much!" and walked back out to check it out a little bit more. He loves to cook and kitchen items so I know we will both have fun with it. Also jenjie who sent something quite generous to help us out. She and her family have lost so much with the passing of her husband Fred, but yet I have seen her share her thoughtfulness and kindness over and over. She is a true example of grace. Thank you to all of you who have been supportive and kind as we move forward. This place really is pretty amazing! That's fabulous. This is exactly why this community is such a special place amidst the sometimes drama and crazy.

That is so very nice.
I have to ask--how did they have your address without your knowledge? If they asked for address, would that not make you wonder what was being mailed to you?

This doesn't surprise me at all as these are three of my favorite peas. They are all so kind, supportive, and all around good people.

That is so very nice. I have to ask--how did they have your address without your knowledge? If they asked for address, would that not make you wonder what was being mailed to you? On one of the update threads about Phoebe, someone had requested an address to send restaurant GCs to help them out a bit. Lucy had requested my address and her envelope full of cards from multiple peas (including words of wisdom from our akathy) came at just the right time. It brightened a very dark day, as I definitely "felt the love" from my pea friends. It's incredible how much difference a little bit of kindness and gestures of friendship make.
