1) that I am a better grandma than the baby's real grandma! 2) that I sat there with a 'resting bitch face' on during the meeting! My middle DS is dating a girl who has a baby boy....they have been going out for 9 months, the baby is 13months. We obviously see them regularly as my son lives at home....which means we see the baby lots. and babysit lots. Today, his girlfriend said that I was a better grandma to her son, than his real grandma....made me smile. We were at a meeting as the baby has Prada Willi Syndrome - the people who look after the baby on a regular basis were invited to be there - I went. Apparently, the whole time, I sat there with a 'resting bitch face' look on my face, teehee. And to top it off....the baby's name is Xzavier - which means I can use up all the pesky x,z & v letters in my alphabets/thickers!

That's so sweet and cool that you're so supportive and accepting of your ds' girlfriend's baby. I don't know that many moms would be. As for the resting bitch face--a meeting about Prada Willi Syndrome isn't the kind of situation where I would feel like smiling...

It doesn't take blood to love a child. And good for your son--most young men won't have anything to do with a woman with kids, much less kids with special needs. I think it's Prader Willi syndrome.
