I have been working VERY hard at getting my life organized one section at a time. I was not yet dressed but had a panic attack worrying about what to put where. I was very stressed about this. I was trying to make up my mind about organization. My BFF in town texted me to come over so while I was at her house, freaking out, sweating, worrying about how to organize my clothes, scrapbook supplies, make up etc. Then I could do it. I had an OMG I can do this moment.
We had coffee and then I went home and made post-it notes for each area (I know it sounds silly) but it kept me sure what I wanted to keep where. It helped so much!
So my good for me is having spent about 5 hours on organization and I did throw out about 50 things! Yay!

Congratulations. That's a great start! I'll bet you can now do several rounds of purge and organize as a follow up.

You've got this. AND if post it notes help keep you on track, diminish the stress, then do what works for you. When I start feel overwhelmed I write everyhtin down on paper that I need to deal with and I surprise myself by remembering I don't have to do it all right this minute and can take "bites" off the list eventually completing my tasks. Easier to look at a chapter than an entire book.
Happy that you got to enjoy time with your BFF!

I am happy you found something that works for you. I am the queen of lists. It works for me. I take medication that enhances list making. It sounds funny, but I take Dexedrine (the old diet pills from the 70s and 80s) for ADHD and it helps with focusing on things. I finally got my act together and was able to accomplish a lot. That said there is still plenty more to do. I mean enough to keep me busy. I did 5 hours during the day. I did about 90 minutes late last night and am going to do some more now. I have a Costco sized box of garbage bags that I am putting stuff to be donated in. I have already done bags of stuff to donate. I am just doing more. Anyone else who has a "good for me!" please share it, too! This is a post about happy things happening to Peas!
