Hop on over to www.forksoverknives.com. They've got lots of recipes for deserts including cookies. I haven't tried any yet myself, my oven is still broken. Debbie in MD.

If all else fails... Whole foods has some pretty amazing vegan chocolate chip cookies in their bakery/deli section. And I am almost certain that ours sells the dough in the fridge case there too.

Thanks, Debbie, I'll check them out.

If you look up an Oatmeal Carmelita recipe, you can make some substitutions and they turn out pretty well. They are a layered bar cookie that's easy to make. You can find alternative vegan ingredients at a market like Whole Foods. Use margarine, vegan caramel sauce and chocolate chips. They were a hit with DD's vegan friends.

Heads up not all margarine is vegan, you'll need earth balance buttery spread. I've found it at the regular grocery store. You can substitute the liquid from a can of chick peas for egg and egg whites, look up aquafaba. It works so we'll I've made meringues and macarons with it.

I looked up the Oatmeal Carmelita recipe and just be aware that chocolate chips and sugar are not vegan unless specified on the package, hence, you really need to make a trip to Whole Foods to get that.

True, I've read Costco's Kirkland chocolate chips are vegan. There's a brand that is marketed as vegan called enjoy life but it is much more expensive.
