I (and my posse) are moving to your fair city! Any indispensable advice? North Vancouver seems like our target area. We are super excited, but there is a learning curve: i.e. catchments Is Craigslist the best tool to use to find rental homes? Are there great variations in schools? Please tell me all.

Not living in Vancouver but have family that live there.

We were just there to board a cruise and our driver from the airport was pointing out homes on the way from the airport to downtown and very small homes went into the millions! Hope there are cheaper areas! My DD#2 has now decided that is where she would love to live (she hopes to be in the film industry and it is supposed to be hot)
But I am jealous that you will have access to the public market on Granville Island....I wished we had stayed longer so we could have bought some of the food there for a picnic!
Downtown by the harbor was great too...I was surprised by how many people were out and about even though it was a bit cool and rainy. Seemed like everyone had an umbrella. Looks like a great place to live though!
