Ok - I had to look up the official term and maybe I' m not really suffering from Ornithophobia (fear of birds) but Alfred Hitchcock did me in when I was young and I really don't like swarms of birds or their chirping. I enjoy the beauty of one or two small cute birds but I am going a little crazy at work. I have an office with a window (yeah)! BUT - a robin has decided just above my window is a perfect place for a nest - I can't hear them (my window doesn't open) but because of how my desk is situated (and no way to move it around) I continue to see them flying by just out of the corner of my eye and it startles me every darn time!

Big flocks of birds creep me out, too. I had seen enough of Hitchcock's "Birds" to get the gist of it, but I was young enough for the damage to be done. Is there any way you can close curtains or blinds so you don't have to see them flying in and out of their nest?

Closing the blinds would work if the stupid knob worked! Just glad to know I'm not alone!

I had a client with autism who was terrified of birds. It was a problem because one of her favorite places to be and things to do was go outside on her swing set. It got so bad that her mom was unable to take her to the beach because of the seagulls. We were doing exposure therapy with her and birds when I moved away. It was working when I left.

Oh - maybe I need therapy, wonder if my insurance would cover that! LOL

Get the opaque peel and stick film and put it on the window.

I have a friend who is afraid of birds. When our kids were young, we took them to the zoo and she had to walk out during the animal presentation when a bird was brought out. Funny thing though is she likes to make cards and loves the look of birds perched on branches.

I don't like birds either. I will cross the street to avoid large flocks of pigeons. I hate eating at outdoor cafes where the sparrows and pigeons are pecking at food under the table. EW.

My daughter is scared of birds. Little, big, one, many, she doesn't like them. Only hummingbirds she can tolerate.
We go to a restaurant and they say indoors or out -- always in. She doesn't like going places where she knows there will be a lot of birds. Just last year when we were at Disney World and we were walking along she panicked and I had to go back and put my arm around her, she buried her face in my neck and I guided her through an area. She was 14 at the time and is taller than me! I never even noticed the birds. This happens everywhere all the time. We were forced to eat outdoors one time and these little tiny birds were hopping along eating and she panicked and climbed up and over the table because the family member we were with wouldn't get out of her way, just kept saying "oh the birds are fine, they won't bother you."

I'd like to say I like humming birds but when they fly by their wing flutter sounds like HUGE bees, which I don't particularly care for either!
