There are two washis that people have been searching for that Michael's stated would not be restocked because they don't restock seasonal merchandise. Each store only got 4 (sold out the moment they hit the sales floor) and they are selling for 3-4x retail price on eBay and almost as much as the whole thing with a coupon for 18in samples on etsy. It would appear that they listened to the complaints (I will definitely make a call in the future since they listened...I didn't think anything would come of calling and am happily mistaken) and are restocking both sets of the Color Splash Washi. Attached are the word ones, but they are also getting the watercolor ones. I don't have a picture of those to reference because my store got their truck and pulled these from the back for me today (they don't put their truck out until Thursdays). Most stores are getting way more than the initial 4 and after speaking with a rep at corporate found out that 5k are hitting stores across the country this week and 10k total will eventually be delivered. My two closest stores are due in 23 and 37 total (they got in 11 and 23 this week, respectively). There is a 40% off coupon for all washi this week, so if you want them, I suggest you stock up while they are available...just because they are getting more in doesn't mean they won't sell out just as quickly once word gets out that they are restocked. This washi is in such high demand that the store manager I dealt with and the rep at corporate both knew exactly what I was referring to just by explaining it. I found out from an employee posting in a FB group...she was stocking and opened a box to find them in there...I'm so glad she posted about it and I'm hoping that I can help you get these, too, if you were really hoping to find them by passing along this information. The SKU (461848) should help you locate them. One word of caution, though...they will not see the quantities due in the normal way...they need to go enter their store number into the system they would use to locate product at other stores in your area to find out how many tubes they are getting (because it's seasonal, their systems aren't reflecting the inventory the way a normal restock would...I had one store argue with me and refuse to look it up this way, if this happens to you, I suggest calling corporate at 800-MICHAEL or asking for a manager at the store).

I was near Michaels early today so I popped in. They have lots of this Color Wash Washi, along with an entire line of Color Wash papers, embellishments and other items. It's on a special display rack in the center aisle -- all really pretty. My washi is mostly earth tones or holiday, so these are just the colors I needed for finishing up DD's high school album (which has lots of very old K&Co and Basic Grey papers, now classified as the new "boho" haha.) Thanks!

Thanks! You're welcome! I'm glad you like them. I love that there is so much purple in it...it's not very common and the Happiness washi with the purple blue and green is amazing! I honestly really wanted the Love You one with the gold foil the most. They restocked a lot after having not gotten very many in at all and the rest of the line, while cute, isn't nearly as popular. I'm glad your store has a good selection of everything.

I already used mine on 2 layouts and put it all in a mason jar to display. I got the green boho pack, too. It's so pretty!
This entire line has me rethinking all of the trash talking I've done about Michaels. Their designers have really stepped it up.

My store had tons of the watercolor version of this but not the ones with writing! I stocked up on some basics and skinny washi, though. Thanks for the coupon heads up!

I saw those a Michaels today. Maybe because I am not into purple, but I decided they were prettier in picture than in person, so I passed. Maybe if I saw them used, but then it would probably be too late anyway. Oh well....

None of the color splash washi at my Michaels today. I also found the display, which was near the baskets at my store. I walked around the color splash/boho display about 4 times, but no color splash washi. Oh well!! I hit a great deal on Project Life clearence at my Joann's though!! So the trip to the next town over was definitely worth it!!

@northrigg, phyllis and justjac - If you write down the item number, they should be able to look it up. When they go into their normal system, it will tell them they have 0 in stock and 0 on order, but if you ask them to enter their own store number into the spot where they would normally search for products at other stores, they will see how many they have and/or are due in. It could be that your stores are either really slow on their truck or they are getting them in this week. If the person refuses to search beyond saying the system says 0, ask to speak with another employee or a manager. For some reason, because this merchandise is seasonal, it isn't registering the way normal restocks would (typically, this type of product doesn't get restocked but it was highly coveted). If that doesn't work, you should be able to ask them their store number and 800-MICHAEL should be able to tell you how many they are getting. If you are willing to wait a day and give them your email, they can even ask their logistics department and can find out exactly how many they are due in on their next truck if they, in fact, haven't received them yet. As you can see, I take my procurement of stash pretty seriously.

They are probably the ones selling it on Etsy for $31, or on Ebay for $39 a tube. Sorry, NOT happening. Good luck with that! My stores only got half to 2/3 of what they are due in total...so I would keep my eyes peeled. Call the store to find out their truck day and around 10am, I'd call...even if they haven't put it out, they should be able to find it based on the SKU and you can get one put on hold for you. I refuse to pay those prices, so I figured I was just out of luck...that's why I was so excited when it was posted by an employee that they are getting more. No way would I pay 3x retail pricing for washi when I have over 400 rolls. In fact, it has to be something super special and different to get me to buy it at all these days and even then, unless it's a good price, not happening. I can't think of much I want (if anything) that I'd pay those prices for it. That's why I'll never get the to the moon SC stamp. What's funny to me is that it is happening other places, too. Freckled Fawn did a shop update and a lot of the things that were posted are things I just saw a few weeks ago at the American Crafts warehouse sale. They are the 10 for $10 items that sometimes go on sale to 20 for $10. That's exactly where she got them, I'm betting. She has them for $3.50 and up in her shop. The warehouse sale isn't intended to be a place for resellers, I didn't think.

I hit two more Michael's and did find the watercolor washi at one, but the words ones were sold out. My local store had the glitter tape, but they never had the washi to start with. It is very pretty. I'm going to keep looking.
