First of all, thanks to admin , WE are!!! We've been pinned, so when you are looking for all things Tell Your Story, you just need to click on the pinned link.
Now for our daily Tell Your Story prompt: craftwise, what's on top of YOUR desk, your to-do list, your mind? Tell us here. I find that most times if I work from the top down, I actually get done what I really wanted to accomplish.
On the top of MY scrap counter are: some photos I pulled out yesterday for the next pages in dgs album about his fist year with us, a lot of new stuff I purchased this last weekend at the art journal class and M's, my inked and painted backgrounds from Dyan's class, the Sn@p journal I have designated for LOAD experience and a bunch of fun things to go with that.
First I will do my homework: get the LOAD assignment done. Looks like then I will be working on Grampa's birthday. Since I will undoubtedly pull out the Iris case of bd goodies to do that, I will prob jump ahead to do Mikey's bd after that. And some of that new stuff will undoubtedly fall on to at least some of those pages... And I know that artsy colorful pieces will make an appearance somewhere...
But first, I am off to the deck for a cup of coffee outside. Got it all cleaned up yesterday, so plan to be out there a lot over the next few months. When you live in northeastern Alberta, you take warm sunny mornings when you can. Will get my daily photo from there.
So again: for YOU, what's on TOP?

Good morning! Top of my scrap table are photos from our road trip in January (from FL to Chicago and back for DS's Navy boot camp graduation). Top of my to-do list is laundry and dishes. Top on my mind are the letters I need to write and the lack of chocolate in the house (might just need to make fudge)
edit - Laundry is started and my first layout is DONE! I don't have my layouts online - sorry
day 3 layout#1 - "Wow" 1 pg PP(from Vintage Nation stack), cardstock, white foam thickers, and button stickers (gosh those are so old, I can't even remember who made them)

Here are a couple of sb pages I created with some of that stuff on top of my scrap counter. For some reason, these photos look dark, even though I took them with the sun streaming through the window. sharing grampa 1 by Gramma Dee, on Flickr sharing grampa by Gramma Dee, on Flickr The LOAD prompt had to do with laughter, so I put together this page for my Sn@p album. Didn't go further from the top when looking for journaling cards, though. Turns out there is one in this BB pack that says "Laughter is the FIREWORKS of the soul!" Nowhere to put it now on this page! LOL by Gramma Dee, on Flickr Hoping to see anything you create today. If life takes over and no time to scrap, maybe a photo of something you are seeing or doing today!

Hello, ladies! On top of my scrap desk is a picture of DD2 when she was 2 yrs old and potty training. My husband took DD1 out to run an errand. DD2 had to be kept home because she was still making messes. After they left she packed up some toys in her Mr. Potato Head box. It was a hard plastic case with a handle and she carried it to the door like a suitcase and said she wanted to go with him. She looked so cute in her training pants I just had to take a picture. On my to do list today is to at least find papers and embellishments to go with that picture. I just had a thought that BG Hey Girl might work. I'll have to dig that out. What's on my mind today? Getting through my first day back at work since being on vacation for over a week. It'll be a short day, but it's still work. Well, the bills don't pay themselves! Have a great day everyone!

Top of my desk: A MESS. DD needed ribbon, so I had to get all of the ribbon boxes down and the big shot and dies she used, a bag of twizzlers (I think those are the most important thing on the desk), nail polish, printed out quotes for practicing hand lettering, some pp, various photos that I still haven't put page kits together for because I either need more photos printed or I wasn't inspired last week when I was doing page kits. Kitchen table: my 2006-2007 everyday family album and embellishments pulled to put decorate pocket pages within those albums. To-Do List: Walk on the treadmill, Making chicken broth and sweeping/mopping the floor, cleaning the bathroom and the vast amount of laundry that needs to be done. Mind: Not feeling great, catching a cold as is the rest of my family. Hoping I get something done, but I really just want to go to bed. **** I did walk on the treadmill, am still making chicken broth, and some chicken and rice soup at the moment, I swept the great room, paid some bills, made some appointments, and took care of some business, and have been continuing laundry all day. I sat down A LOT today. I hope I have more energy tomorrow. I also just ate 3 twizzlers since that was the most important thing on my desk. Although I'd really like a piece of your fudge, linda. I will try to get a quote finished for my handwriting practice and then I'll see what happens.

I'm starting to come down with something, too. Hopefully it won't be too bad of a virus. I got another layout done (#10) - this one even has a title! It only needs journaling so I'll add it to the 'needs journaling and/or title pile.

linda and Elsabelle , sounds like you got a lot of scrapping done today. I have four pages finished (and my LOAD page) plus I have a page glued together on my scrap counter waiting for title and journaling. Will probably finish that one this evening. Might do a facing page tonight as well, but will see how much mojo I have left. Dh is home now. Think he is planning on heading out to a bbq for supper, but right now he is sitting in the living room complaining about the heat outside. (About 30C this afternoon: not quite what we are used to in these parts at this time of the year.) We don't have AC, but we have a 2 story house, so the main floor is quite comfortable. There is a huge forest fire in northern Alberta--nowhere near us, but we are thinking of the people who live there--and dh is channel surfing trying to find any news feeds on the emergency situation there. LisaDV , I can't believe everything you got done today even when you are not feeling well and "sat down a lot"! Hope the chicken soup helps everyone feel better!

link to my blog with pic of this prompt. I don't know how to put pics in threads, so they will be on my blog...(disclaimer) my blog is not monetized or anything...so I am not trying to drive traffic. Just the simplest way to share pics Top of my desk...been unpacking from a weekend crop, but discovered I had a group of layouts out of order (try to put them chronologically in the book) so, on top of my desk is probably my first layout for May...as I now need one to insert into the order I had. does that make sense? probably only to a fellow scrapbooker.. Cool that there is a 'pin' from admin for these threads!!

What's on top of my desk?? Usually at least 1 if not 2 cats! I guess I should take a photo of them and scrap that!!
I don't always have time to play along but I really love reading these prompts. They truly get me thinking in other directions. Thanks to all who contribute!

TFS the top of your desk in your blog. Great that you can play along with our prompts and challenges at the same time as you are doing your blogging challenge! Great multitasking!
And yes, this scrapbooker understands: I often leave half finished projects on the desk: sometimes just the photos, sometimes a bunch of papers and other elements I want to include. And I may not scrap chronologically, but I do store my pages in albums that way. Love 3 ring binders so I can insert page(s) between the ones that are already completed.

I'm envious of everyone who has found some time to scrap this week.
On top of my desk are three layouts in various stages of completion: one that needs journaling and a little embellishment, one that needs journaling and all the embellishment, and one that is just a pile of papers with the photos that clearly needs everything.
I had a big presentation at work today which I nailed so I'm feeling pretty happy but still rather pumped up, far too much to play with pretty paper although finishing those outstanding projects is on my mind and my to do list (along with finding a cute pair of heels to wear to an upcoming wedding).

My desktop has a paper trimmer, double sided Scotch tape dispenser, and enamel dots on top.
I cleaned it up after finishing a layout days ago, and I haven't started a new one.
I have work on top of my mind. And kid obligations. And then lurking right underneath is always all the scrapping I want to do, but barely have time for.

What's on top for me was a paper pack that grammadee gave me. I showed her the super cute photos I had of my niece in super hero costumes and she told me she had the perfect paper that I could use. I am going to do a two page spread but I ran out of gas yesterday. Here is the first page. My priority this month is getting my layout a day done for LOAD. Since I'm going to be away from home for part of the month, some of my layouts are going to be done using the project life app. That will be a change for me since I am generally a paper scrapper.

Linda I have one of those less than helpful helpers. One of my cats likes to tip over my bin and pull out all the long scraps like branding strips. Her other favourite place is to sit in my open paper drawers.
