I don't think Elsabelle meant THIS song when she posted the challenge in our TYS Challenge & prompts thread , but I thought I would use it for Thursday's prompt.
What new supplies are you coveting, have you ordered, or have you purchased recently? Any new techniques you have learned and are dying to try?
Today I arrived home to find a lovely box from Scrapbooking Fanatics . I love the Scrapfan kits, but they often fall into the "too pretty to use" category. The May kit has all things butterflies, with Julie Nutting "Belle Vie", some wooden pieces, and a Sizzix butterfly die. It also has a little wooden coaster to decorate. The June kit has Kaisercraft "sea breeze", and includes some washi tape and flowers. I don't see myself using either kit in my current project--an album for a 3 year old little boy--but I really want to play with both kits.
And of course I want to use more paints and stains on my pages after our class with Dyan in Edmonton. And pull out my stencils and put them to work in new ways...
If you actually USE some of that new stuff today, let use know! It's only paper!!!

What new supplies are you coveting, I so badly want Nuvo gloss drops. Michael's doesn't carry them. Neither does A C Moore. Not yet at least. I also want/need more albums.

those kits sound lovely.
I bought some pretty butterfly paper at Michaels last weekend -Recollections Teal Butterflies - I'll use it once I get to photos that work colour-wise - I've pulled it a couple of times already but the colours didn't quite work for either layout

This topic is a hard one for me. I am far more likely to use something very very old than try something new. There is nothing I'm looking at trying out. I don't even know what's new unless someone posts about it.
But in the spirit of participation I did get some paper recently from Scrap Your Trip and I am excited to use it this weekend at a crop. There is nothing like the feeling of crisp new paper!

I covet all things Shimelle.
Some of my latest purchases have been some of Crate Paper Hello Love and some Amy Tan.
What I'm itching to try out is some new stitching templates that I've purchased. I love the look but usually punch my own holes and they are never quite even.
As for techniques... I'm a technique junkie and usually try them out right away.

This topic is a hard one for me. I am far more likely to use something very very old than try something new. There is nothing I'm looking at trying out. I don't even know what's new unless someone posts about it. me too for a variety of reasons. I have a good-sized stash -not as big as some I see posted here but ample for my needs. I've been scrapbooking since 2002 and while I have purged over the years, I still have stuff that I picked up back in the beginning. I used a CADD topper c.1999 just the other day. I don't have a ton of scrapbook-budget and at the moment, most of it goes to photo squares and photo prints so no online shopping for me as I can't afford to place an order large enough to earn free-shipping and I can't justify the shipping costs for a smaller order. Locally I have a Michaels and there's a very very small LSS that's only open a handful of hours/week (and not usually ones I can visit during - I get there once or twice a year at most). About 45 minutes away (someplace I go about once every 2 months - but often on a Sunday) there's a Joanns, a Michaels, and a Hobby Lobby About 90 minutes away (and I go a handful of times a year) - there are Joanns, Michaels, Hobby Lobby, and ACMoore. So not a ton of shopping opportunities really either. This month (May) - I've been to Michaels once and I got photo squares, 6 sheets of beige cardstock, and 4 sheets of PP (2 butterfly and 2 of a coordinating print). Unless I run out of photo squares or I can NOT find a usable cardstock in my stash for a layout (which is what happened with the beige), I won't shop again the rest of the month. I have placed several photo orders and will be placing another on Friday.

Just bought myself a fuse tool and have enjoyed it..now, of course I need a supply of sequins. In every size and color
I really want to learn the 'splatter' technique. I seem to only make a mess. I asked a gal at my recent crop and she showed me her techniques....so I bought the Tim Holtz sprayer (rec'd yesterday) she recommended and will need to spend some time working on it. That is even what she said, spend some time, get messy.
Did you know Amazon won't deliver the sprayer to my home?? I've had that with a set of copics also...so I got it on Scrapbook.com. I get this message, cannot deliver to that address. I tried dh's business address and got the same message...interesting.
grammadee, I think I need that May kit...with 2 granddaughters, I love all things pretty.

Well I used a couple of the wooden butterflies and the die to create my LOAD page this morning. I thought I might be able to use a little pp too (make myself cut into the beautiful stuff), but I did the spritzing and stenciling downstairs away from the paper pack, and when I put them together, the colors didn't work. The pp is a lot more pink in their coral. And the mixing dylusions paint with molding paste is a technique I saw a fellow crop attendee doing a couple of weeks ago and have really wanted to try. Using a Sn@p page instead of a stencil was my idea. Some relatively new stuff too: the Sn@p elements--the sun, the washi tape. The letter stickers I tend to grab from whatever sheet has the right color and size, so some are older, some not so much. Also used some older product on this: the zva swirls, the HOTP hologram pp for the butterfly. And my trusty Smashbook journaling pen. I LOVE my bed! by Gramma Dee, on Flickr

I've had Tom Jones stuck in my head since I read this late last night. I have gotten a few packages lately. I got MME On Trend 2 and I love it! I've used it on three layouts already. I also got Simple Stories We Are Family. Can't wait to use that. I also got a Say Cheese and Say Cheese II and I really can't wait to use that. On Friday I placed an early NSD order from awdml.com and should get that today. It's a little bit of this and a little bit of that. And this week I ordered MME Hello Gorgeous. I never shop this much but I've been scrapping a lot and I know I'll use it so I feel good about my purchases. I'd like to get some of those Nuvo Crystal Drops, too. They look awesome. I see Linda is still scrapping away! Great job! I was so tired (and grumpy) after work yesterday that I had to take a break from everything and just rest. Today will be a long day and I then I have some family plans. Hopefully I'll be able to start editing pictures tomorrow. I hope the Scrap Gals post a new podcast. A long one, too.

I want to give Project Life a try. Not every week or anything, just more documentation of everyday life. I have the app and I got some page protectors as a give away at a crop. The prompt today was to scrap a thing that we love. I chose my engagement ring. It's a bit of a cliche but I've never told the story of DH picking it out. I think this is the most journalling I've ever done on a layout.
