I'm surprised no one has started discussing Survivor yet. I guess it wasn't a super eventful episode. Poor Tai. Despite a few of his big moves, he really isn't cut out for all of this lying, strategizing, etc. He was so distraught after last week's tribal council. The reward challenge was a nice one, although it didn't work out so well for Joe. It doesn't matter those--med evac or not, that guy had zero shot at winning. It was just sad seeing him in so much pain. He's pretty stoic I think, so you know he had to be really hurting. How funny though that he completely defers to Aubrey as to who should be the third person to bring on the reward. He truly is her little puppet. Cydney was smart to realize that loading yourself down with a ton of meat after living for a month on such a meager diet, is not such a good idea. Joe unfortunately didn't get that memo. It was nice to see Tai and Michele make up back at camp. How sweet that he gave her that massage. It looked pretty wonderful. Poor Michele though, she thinks she's in solid with Tai and all it takes is a few kind words and a hug from Aubrey and he back in tight with her. Good for Aubrey though. She's pretty good at doing damage control and telling people what they need to hear. I love though how sharp Cydney is. She doesn't miss a beat--she immediately saw that something had transpired between the two of them when they got water. It was pretty touching to see how much Joe meant to all of them. You could tell that, game aside, they really care about him. Cydney especially surprised me. I had no idea Joe had that kind of an impact on her. So we now have our final four by default. Tai didn't get to, or need to, use his HII. If it's going to be a final three, only one of them won't be able to plead their case at the final tribal council. It's hard to see anyone beat Aubrey at this point (if she makes it to the final TC), but the jury can surprise you now and then. I think they can all make pretty decent cases for themselves. Personally I think that Michele will get voted out and not make it to the finals, which bums me out because she's my dd's pick in thepool and she would so love to win! After Joe was treated and had his bladder drained, he got to join Ponderosa. You can see the footage here. It was nice to see how welcoming and respectful everyone was to him. He and Jason, who didn't get along in the game, had some good talks and patched things up. And who knew Joe was a hostage negotiator with the FBI? Pretty impressive stuff! Oh, I haven't read Dalton's recap yet, but I'm getting ready to do it now. Here it is if you're interested.

I really liked this episode! Joe had his best moment in the game, which led to his worst. Great storyline.
I was also touched by how much everyone loved Joe when he was leaving. But I got teary earlier when they were all so happy for him after he won the challenge. Those four are all fierce competitors, yet they all celebrated his win over them. And, I too thought it was funny the way he immediately put Aubry back in the decision making spot.
Aubry deserves the win. She's one of the best players I've seen. I think she's got enough votes on the jury to beat any of the other three. She just has to get to the finals now. Tai will take her and probably Michele now that they've bonded. Cydney will probably honor their alliance and take her, but more likely will do it because she's annoyed with Tai. Michele knows better, she will take Tai and Cyd.
I like Michele and I think she's smart, but I don't think she deserves to win. Cydney would be an acceptable win, but she's just not as good as Aubry. Tai can't win, and I don't want him to anymore. He's flipped too much, played too emotionally, and made enemies.

I don't really like any of them to win...Audrey's crying seems phony and annoying. Michelle doesn't deserve to win. Cydney is a real physical threat but I find her annoying. I guess Thai would be the big surprise.

I want Cydney to win but think Audrey will against her. She has played well and many people don't know how smart of a game Cydney has played. I used to like Tai but he is just as bad as Jason, only he doesn't come out and say it. He has turned against his alliance 3 times so far. I don't want him to win at all. I don't think Michele how does much to win either.
Poor Joe. Seems like a great guy but yes everyone wanted to bring him to the end, to win against him. He might've been able to pull it off, who knows? But that reward challenge? He did! That was so cool and I said it in the beginning of it, there was no way he would win. I didn't realize they had to wait till everyone threw their bags.

I did love last night's episode with Joe winning. Very sweet!

I think I agree with everything you said Holly.
Iactually like all of them for the finals. I feel they all worked hard in their own way. Aubrey has definitely worked the hardest and the smartest though IMO. I personally really like her. I think her emotions are real. The tears she sheds for the game are generally done in private--you can tell she puts on a strong face for the group but this has been a tough season. It has to wear on her. I don't fault her for her tears. The tears for Joe were definitely for real, or seemed so to me anyway. She's been with him from the start. I absolutely love the game Aubrey played. If she makes it to the end and doesn't win, it's clearly due to a bitter jury. I can see Scott and Jason doing something assy like writing her name down for the win and then crossing it out and replacing with someone else. (That crossing out thing was probably Aubrey's only real blunder).

I think Aubry deserves the win. She was on the outs in her tribe originally, then at the merge she was definitely on the bottom but she managed to play very smart. She had Joe in her pocket the entire game and kept him loyal to her. She also moved and flipped when necessary for her game to move forward. She reminds me a lot strategy wise of Sophie Clarke who won her season. I totally think Aubry deserves it more than Michele or Cydney.
Tai doesn't bother me. He is not perfect and certainly not the worst person to play the game. He got caught up in a bromance with Scot but I don't believe for a minute Scot was going to stay loyal to Tai. Sure he flipped a lot but so did everyone....that's how you survive. Go with what works for you. I don't think Tai is evil...just more misguided and emotional.
I got teary when Joe left. Poor guy. He was guaranteed a f3 spot even though he wouldn't have won, and got taken out just before the finale. He went with grace and dignity. For 71, he played a hell of a game. I was happy that he won the last reward.
We will probably have a few really bitter jury members (Scot, Nick, Jason) who will be total dickheads at final tribal because of their self importance and ego, but I do hope they can look past it and see that Aubry was the best player after the merge.

I don't understand when they gorge themselves with food like that especially meat it takes so long to go thru your system in a normal setting let alone in a setting where you haven't eating decent for weeks. I get they are hungry but geez dial it down lol.
I thought what Cydney said about Joe when he was leaving was sweet but I kind of chuckled because she could have said while he was scarfing those kebab things down hey Joe might wanna slow down on the Beef kabobs lol.
I honestly think as hungry as I would be on those types of rewards I would try to be really careful about what and how much I ate. Ice cold water and veggies to me would be the best rewards.
I didn't get why Aubry rushed with that last bag of bean bags for reward challenge guess it worked out she still got to go.
I myself don't know why people want to take her to the end she will have the best skills to argue her strategy to the jury. Taking a Tai or Joe would be advantageous because neither seems to be able to put a coherent sentence together. I think Cydney and Michele may have a few votes on the jury.
Out of the ones left I guess I am rooting for Michele mostly because I like her as a person. I did like Tai but he lost favor with me with his waffling.

I too am a fan of Aubrey. I think she has played the smartest game both strategically and has been very good at challenges as well.
I like Tai...even though he waffled with his alliances. I think deep down, he is really a very gentle soul who got in over his head with game and has had to learn how to play on the fly...yea, I know he's most likely watched many, if no all seasons and knows what he's getting into, but it's quite different when you have to actually walk in the shoes.
I think Cydney has played a good game too and is very smart on reading people.
I like Michele, but to be honest, I can't think of any one big move she made in the game to get her to the point...perhaps I just can't remember or is it because she really didn't make any...??
I think it could go either way between Aubrey, Cydney & Tai. I'd be surprised if Michele wins but it's Survivor...there have been a few winners that I've scratched my head about.

I cannot stand his whiny ass voice I'm with you, I also couldn't stand his actual whining. I hate players who are happy when they blindside someone but turn into a whiny baby and get all bent out of shape when someone else does it to them. "His feelings were hurt" boo hoo, look at the jury, I bet theirs were too. get over it. I I don't understand when they gorge themselves with food like that especially meat it takes so long to go thru your system in a normal setting let alone in a setting where you haven't eating decent for weeks Agree again, I'm always sitting here shaking my head. I'd eat a small amount of meat, a bigger serve of carbs and some sweets and I sure as hell wouldn't be drinking any alcohol. I bet a few of them over the years have been sick that we just haven't seen (thankfully, I certainly don't want to watch people throw up!). I am a little puzzled why they just didn't drain Joe's bladder once and see what happened. Obviously if he went into retention again, then he'd have to be pulled from the game, but they dress wounds and give antibiotics, an in & out catheter is a 5 minute procedure, 30 mins to drain the urine and it's done. I've inserted literally hundreds of male catheters, it's really fast and easy, seems strange that they wouldn't have done it once. Dr Joe mentioned giving him some medication...I assume Urecholine which is meant to contract the bladder but again, I've given that dozens of times and have never had it work, surprised they are still using it, mostly it just makes people feel worse increases the pain and makes them sweaty and faint. I like Aubrey the best, but the other two girls have played well as well so I'd be OK with either of them winning, although I find Cydney a tad annoying with her "don't tell me what to do" chip on her shoulder.

So starting the episode with only 4 makes me wonder if it's a final 2 instead of a final 3. Possibly, they like to keep us guessing and don't say of it will be a F2 or F3, but it's been awhile since there was an F2 so they're just assuming it will be 3. I always feel 5 at the start of the last episode is so rushed, you don't really get to see their gameplay or their decisions, so I like that they are starting with 4 instead of 5 this time.

Joe going home screwed Aubrey's plans. She wanted to take him to the final knowing he wouldn't win. If he hadn't gone home I think Cydney would have gone home next. Aubrey realized what a threat she was. I would have hated that and she still may go if Aubrey has her way. I'd like to see either Cydney or Aubrey win. I don't care for Michele and I can't stand Tai, he is slimmy and creepy.

Joe going home screwed Aubrey's plans. I don't know, it might just have helped her. This way she didn't have to vote off one of her "alliance" whoever she voted would probably have been upset by it this way she avoided having to make a decision and potentially piss people off. If she gets to the final, this could well be what makes her win. Of course if she doesn't get to the final, she'll always think this is what screwed her! It'll be interesting to see how it plays out next week.

I think this is the first season in ages where I'm okay with any of the final four winning. Sort of, maybe not Tai. IMO, Aubrey has played the best overall game. I really expected her to be the first Brain out with her initial breakdown but she has managed to strategize and work multiple relationships so well. I've liked Cydney from the beginning and think she will be able to hold her own at a final tribal. Michele has played an excellent social game and, IIRC, was instrumental in getting Nick out. I think she will have a lot of votes from the jury if she makes it to the final. Tai has imploded his game and I think he knows it and that is part of why he was so emotional last night. It is interesting that he & Michele are both original Beauty tribemates and he never considered working with her. I was so disappointed that they spent so much time on Tai & Michele last night and we didn't see the much of the reward. Poor Joe, it was so cool to see him win the reward and heartbreaking to see him leave because of medical, even if it was brought on by overeating at the reward. Three feet of beef would do me in on a good day - I can't imagine the pain he was in. I wish he had given the producers a bit more to work with throughout the season. If true, this would be a spoiler for the final three, so I'm going to hide it. I'm not sure if this has been discussed here, but I thought I'd read somewhere that one of each original tribe makes it to the final three. If true, it means Michele or Tai is gone next.

I was so happy for Joe to see him win the reward challenge and then so surprised to see him eat so much meat on the reward when he said, "I hardly ever eat meat". It's one thing to do that during your regular life, but after practically starving for 27 or however many days it's been that to me was very foolish to do for such a smart man as he is. Okay, so it was delicious, but c'mon Joe, I know you are an intelligent man if you were in the FBI-you've got to have known what that much meat would do to your system in that situation. I was so sad to see what it did to him physically, and that it got him pulled from the game.
Now I know, as we all did, that he had no chance of winning the game. But he had a very good chance of making it to the top 3 and with that comes some amount of money and fame. With what happened came pain, and I was sorry to see that happen to him. It was touching to see how close everyone was to him-he really was a grandfather figure to all of them and even though he didn't play the game "hard" I do give him a ton of credit for lasting as long as he did and keeping up with players who were 50 years younger than he was as Jeff mentioned. He did great for his age!
At this point Tai is sadly no longer my favorite player. I admire him greatly as a person because I like how his gentle soul and the love he has for plants and animals. I think this game is a little harsh for Tai and I think we've seen the effect of that in the last two episodes. The lying that is necessary to play the game hits Tai very hard and it's difficult for him to do it, and be lied to. While he knows it's "part of the game" emotionally it hurts him deeply I feel, and we could see that with the tears he kept shedding. I've never thought men crying was a sign of weakness, but a sign of the capacity of emotion, and to me I see it as good thing. As a player however, in this often ruthless game, it has weakened his game play.
Aubrey is definitely the best player in this game. She has strategized (sp?) the best throughout this game (outwitted) has outplayed (beat Jason and every other player in that very difficult immunity challenge of holding out her arms to hold the blocks up, and well, we will she if she will outlast everyone else. I hope she wins this game.
Cydney drives me crazy with her attitude problem of "no one can tell me what to do" but as a player she has also played the game well, in that as Jackie mentioned she doesn't miss a beat. She immediately knew something had transpired between Aubrey and Tai when they came back from getting water. She can outwit with the best of them and that's as much a part of her game as outplaying.
I don't think Michelle has done enough to win this game. Yes, she was instrumental in getting Nick out as Bc2ca mentioned (which I'd totally forgotten) but that's about it as far as I'm concerned. To me she's a floater.
So for me it goes like this-I want Aubrey to win, if she can't than I'm okay with Cydney winning and if she can't then I'm okay with Tai winning.
I'm off to read Dalton's blog now.

PS. I'm wrong about what I said about Michelle. She's not a floater. She just didn't make any big moves this season. We have seen floaters ( a person who rides another's coat tails) on Survivor in other seasons. Michelle isn't one. Just wanted to clarify that.

I don't even know if I should put this as a spoiler since they're showing ads for it on TV, but I will just in case: They just showed an ad teasing the final episode of Survivor and the ad said "3 Tribal Councils Left!". That makes it pretty clear to me that it's a final two. Jeff says that there is more drama to be had and that it's a good final tribal. I hope he's telling the truth.

There was just an announcement that they are doing another Australian version of Survivor (not original Survivor set in Australia, but an Australian version of the show) they did it once before and OMG it was horrible. The American version is like a well oiled machine, the Australian version was like a broken down old truck. I cringed when I heard it. They've got a TV actor hosting it...they really should have learnt their lesson from the last time.

I refuse to watch it because I don't want to ruin BB for me. I am thinking this version of Survivor would be even worse! Can't imagine Survivor without JP! Even though the first few seasons of Survivor were kind of silly (remember the conch they had to hold at tribal lol or how they could bring a luxury item) it still was a show you wanted to watch!

I saw something online, but damn if I can't find it now....at any rate, it said that there may be a twist with how the jury votes this year too....that could really shake things up or be a total suck fest...
I'll see if I can find it and link it here.
Here is an excerpt: Apparently, this isn't the only new twist that will be introduced this season, either, as there might also be something new involving the Jury. This has not yet been confirmed, but sources have revealed that someone will somehow gain the power to remove a Jury member and take away their voting privleges at the Final Tribal Council, according to Inside Survivor. It is unclear exactly how this will work, when it can be used and if it will be an individual or group decision.

If the twist is removing a jury member, which takes away their voting privilege, I assume that would be a "hidden advantage" that would need to be won during one of the challenges.

If that is the case the one person I would like to remove voting privilege is Scot. He is too much of a bully to see that anyone could play better than him.
I was sorry to see Joe leave. I think the part that bothered me is Cydney saying that she knew he was going to have problems. To me, he was an easy person to take with you to the final. She should have said something to him. But I guess she thinks - and is probably right - that he will be a vote against her because he is so aligned with Aubrey.
I have no respect for Tai left. I used to like him and was actually pulling for him. But the only good thing he ever did was to get Scot out.
I would be happy with Aubrey, Cydney, or Michelle. This is unusual for me because at this point, I have a very clear person I want to see win.

Hey, guys, speculation is fine, but if your speculation is based on spoiler sites, please use the spoiler option. I'd rather let things unfold without having it spoiled, including jury and final 2/3 information. thanks.
