I have a friend from Nashville visiting and I want to take her somewhere neat for lunch.. (NOT Casa Bonita...lol.. I am going there Saturday night anyways for DD birthday)
I love Sam's #3 but it's really not anywhere on our route... We will be coming from the airport out to Wheat Ridge area...
I know it's a long shot but any suggestions... I am googling but they just keep coming up with uppity type places..... I am looking for something more laid back...

I don't eat out much so I don't really have alot to draw from but we went to a bbq place last nigth on Hampden called Jim n Nicks. I saw on their website that they have a location over in Northfield. Thye make ALL their food from scratch every day in the restaurant. We went for my husband's birthday and everyone agreed that it was really yummy. If you want something really casual and wouldn't mind detouring through downtown (10th/Broadway), there is a new taco restaurant called Torchy's thta has rave reviews. My daughter has already gone 3 times in the last month. You can order a from a large variety of different tacos, in a mix and match fashion.
I hope some more Denver people chime in with suggestions.

Oh yeah, Jim and Nick's is good. We love that place. That might be an option.
Yes we have heard of Torchy's but I don't think we have the time (if they have lines) to go.... but we have been wanting to go. I heard on a local morning show they might open one in Northfield/Stapleton!! (unless they were wishing they would...lol)

I forgot to mention that I am the odd one who likes ot go to Casa Bonita and I don't have little kids. I don't mind the food but I love the escape from the real world for a little while feeling of the place. My 20yo and I have been talking of going for awhile. Have fun on your daughter's birthday.

No I am an odd duck too!! I like going to Casa as well!! I just had a feeling that was going to be the first thing someone would post. (We need a place where we can sit and visit and not distractions) Thanks for the info on Torchys!

First, you both are very, very strange for WANTING to eat at Casa Bonita (do you not do the all you can eat?)
Second, Hacienda Colorado or Buckhorn Exchange?
Apparently Colorado Mexican food is different (and better if you ask my out of state family) than the south and/or east, so maybe mexican?

There's a little hole in wall Mexican place in Golden/Lakewood, that's close to Wheat Ridge that I really like, Tafolino's. It's off I70 & Youngsfield (I'm pretty sure that's the road it's on, I always take Denver West to get to it.)

I too was going to suggest Hacienda, not sure if there is one up north. Otherwise all of my thoughts are down in my neck of the woods sorry! Have fun at both meals

Steubens! There is one on Arvada now, as well as central Denver.

A friend of mine was just telling me about a place called Etai's Cafe. It is in the Stapleton area off Quebec, south of I-25. She said they have fantastic lunch food. I've never been there so I can't confirm but what she said she ate sounded yummy! They do have a website so you can check out the menu.

3rd vote for Hacienda Colorado. They have a location in Westminster: Locations.
Another place that I found sort of unique (I don't know if it is or not) is an all-you-can-eat Italian buffet. It's on the North side of town just off I-25. Cinzetti's. Food is okay, a whole lot better than Casa Bonita!

I've eaten at Etai's a lot! It used to be called Udi's.

Fourth vote for Hacienda. I love that place. Try a frozen sangria.
