Hey guys,
Any ideas about how to get to Dodger Stadium at a reasonable price? We are a group of 10 managers and we got an outing for winning a contest. We are leaving Downey, CA and headed to the stadium. We just want a ride, couldn't care less about the limo/party buses with stripper poles.
Any cost efficient ideas?
I've considered Uber/Lyft but I fear there will be ridiculous surge pricing because it's peak rush hour to DTLA. KWIM?
We're not going to take the bus/metro/train -- I know the team wouldn't be interested in doing that.

I live in Southern CA but I think the only option may be to check town car services? You could try to find someone on CL with a high passenger van. I know some people think CL is sketchy but I've used it for plenty of things.
I've considered doing the train/bus thing but you already said that isn't an option for you guys.

Is there even a train that stops near Dodger Stadium? Hmm, I wondering if there's a Metrolink train you can take from the Downey area to Union Station or to Glendale. Then they might have a shuttle from there to the stadium? Glendale is really just over the mountain to the stadium.
We do the shuttle thing when we go to the Hollywood Bowl because the parking there is so horrendous. We park at the L.A. Zoo and they have a shuttle pickup that takes you directly to the venue.

There is an express bus from Union Station to the stadium and there may be a Metrolink from the Downey area. I know the OP said they don't want that option but otherwise, transportation is going to be pricey for a party of 10 and parking is also expensive if they would have to carpool.

I'd still check uber group pricing for a couple of uber town cars. You could check the rates for UberX (you'd need 3) or uber SUV (you'd need 2). At least that would give you a cost comparison for hiring a passenger van.

DH and friends have moved to Uber over towncars for sporting events because they are less expensive and more flexible. Not sure if this discount code is good for a first time Uber user or first time to Dodger stadium. Dodgers Uber discount code
Check out Groupons for other Uber discount codes.

Thanks, guys! I really appreciate it! It sounds like a couple of SUV Ubers is the way to go. I filled out some quotes on websites and got quoted $1,000!! WTF? I know I gave nearly impossible parameters .... I knew the peas would be able to figure it out if anything.

What about a carpool van? I mean one of the larger passenger vans. That may work and should be less than $1,000. That's nuts!
