Happy Friday the 13th ladies!! I hope you've all had a successful week!! My week wasn't what I'd call successful since the scale has now completely returned to where it was before the stomach bug hit. My eating yesterday sucked in a HUGE way and I'm up almost 2 lbs this morning. My goal for the day is to drink a LOT of water and eat all whole foods and stay away from anything processed. Today my plan is laundry and food prep. That's about it. I hope you all have a wonderful Friday!! ETA: I love that I've been tracking my weight every day because I can go back and look to see what I weighed on any specific day. I just looked and while I'm up a bit, I'm still down from before the stomach bug hit. I thought I was back to where I was before hand but I'm still down 3 lbs from there. I just need to stick to my plan and I'll be back down under 200 the right way soon enough!

I had my biometric screening yesterday. Fortunately my numbers look good, except for the weight. It's not awful; I'm 5 pounds heavier than I was this time last year. I'm making mostly good decisions about food and exercise and I don't feel my weight loss goals are unrealistic, but at age 52 my body just doesn't seem to want to let go of the pounds I need and want to lose.

Hang in there ladies! I'm chugging along. I'm actually amazed that I'm 5 days into this and still relatively on program. Yesterday I came in 2 pts under which is unheard of for me. I weighed on Monday when I started, but am going to change my weigh in to Friday (since weekends are especially challenging for me and I need recovery time!) so since Monday I am down 1.8 as of this morning. I'll take it!I hope everyone has a great, on plan weekend. Never give up!

Yes - we can do this! Trainer weighed me on Wednesday when I started- was 123 lbs- won't weigh again until next month. Going to do the same workout today- now 3 days in a row. I am surprised that I'm sore- I get a little sore from my own workouts, but this time it hurts! He makes me do leg extensions and leg curls in sloooow motion. The curls aren't too bad, but those extensions are killers. My quads are screaming and it's only 35 lbs on the machine- burns so bad. Ok -I'll stop whining now. Have a great day, ladies!

I had a great night last night - my best swim workout to date. One month until my triathlon! :-O Got a run in too - weather was perfect. Have a great weekend everyone!

My weight was stable today. Still holding at about 0.5 lbs above where I was before our roadtrip.
Had my 2 month post-op check at the endodontist. All healed finally! That means I am no longer on restrictions. I can jump again and I can eat whatever I want. 2 months on a soft and then modified soft diet has been eye opening. I've lost 8 lbs (8.5 if I go from last week). The biggest things I eliminated completely from my diet in that time are tortilla chips (we eat them nacho-style with melted cheddar cheese, sometimes leftover chicken, and salsa fairly often here), pretzels, popcorn and almonds. I'm adding the almonds back in without question. I am going to try to think of pretzels as evil as they are really just processed carbs. Popcorn will come back in moderation. The hardest for me is going to be the tortilla chips.
I think the combination of dropping these foods from my diet and going to OrangeTheory Fitness at least twice each week has really made a difference and I need to make sure I stay conscious of that.

YAY for being cleared and all healed up! As far as the pretzels and tortilla chips? In January, I made a conscious effort to cut out as much processed stuff as I could...and I stuck to it only eating stuff like yogurt that was processed. No pretzels, crackers, etc. and I lost quite a bit in the month of January. I've since been eating some of the processed foods (Wheat Thins with Laughing Cow Wedges seem to be my weakness currently) but I'm thinking that I'm going to do another month of no processed foods again. It really eliminated a lot of my bloat and the weight just fell off. I do have a feeling though that my steady weight loss is going to really slow down here soon as I approach my end goal.

Good evening everyone! It's Friday! Finally Friday. We've had PARCC testing this week and will continue into next week and I'm already over it. Ugh! Happy note--ALL my grading is D.O.N.E! For the first time in forever I'm all caught up and can enjoy my weekend! Sad note--my plantar fasciitis is flaring up again. Ugh! I had a 10,000 steps/day goal and I need to curtail that or I'm going to be in pain. So, I'm babying my foot right now; wearing my night brace, stretching, etc. hoping I can get back to it soon.
I stepped on the scale this morning and was down about 3 from last week...not sure if the 3 lbs will hold until tomorrow's weigh-in, but I should be good for a decent loss. So eager to get out of this "decade" of weight. Hopefully it'll be soon!

Sorry I did not check in yesterday. It was a loooong day.
Huge NSV to report....
The boys had their annual school lock-in last night. 50ish boys who read enough for pleasure to earn the sleepover. I usually go an scare them. It is tradition. Lol!
I went last night and hid in a closet for 30+ minutes waiting for the perfect time to jump out. I totally got them. Lol! I stayed for a bit and played with them in the gym. One boy had a hoverboard. I got on that thing and did not injure myself. I even did not run and hide when they took pictures for the school facebook page. That is huge for me.
I embraced the moment. I didn't mind that my picture was being taken. I had on shorts in public for the first time in 10 years.
I pretty much ruled the world. Lol!
