My patio gets sun, but the ground level of the rest of my yard doesn't, so I am a container gardener at this point. I have some blueberry bushes that are doing well; suggestions for other fruits (bushes or trees) that you have grown successfully in containers? I have two sizable self-watering containers I would like to fill.

I am not understanding why you would want to container garden? are you going to move them? Why not look for plants that grow in shade? and plant in the ground?

Strawberries grow well in containers. So do tomatoes. And herbs.

It would help if we knew your location. Also, what size plant do you want?
Do you annual or perennial?

This is our first year doing a patio garden.
We have
strawberries, snap peas, sweet peas, and zucchini in hanging pots.
We have Japanese Eggplant, bell peppers, walla walla onions, garlic, cauliflower, in pots either on the banister or on plant stands on the patio.
We also have some flowers, a beautiful yellow flower that I can't remember the name of and it is raining so I am not gonna go out and look right now. shasta daisies, painted daisies, violas, there's a few other out there but I can't remember what they are.
We have a jungle. and we have more plants inside.
Amanda wants a lemon tree.

What fruit do you like to eat? I'd start there, and look for dwarf versions of those trees.
If you consider a citrus tree, be aware that some of the ones being sold at Hd and Lowe's have been genetically modified to produce neonicotoids, which have been proven to kill bees. Seems to me they've cut off their noses to spite their faces, but there you go.
I have grown a Meyer lemon in a container before and it did very well for a long time.
