I subscribe to Cocoa Daisy currently and it is the best for customer service in my opinion (NO drama!! LOL). Lots of variety in the kits, and not too expensive for what it is. I love their own CD papers, the photos don't do them justice, really.
Cocoa Daisy is always adding new thing as well - coming up in September will be a calendar/planner kit that looks really fun. Their version of Project Life is Day in the Life and it is outstanding (but tends to sell out early).
I've subbed to others before, but I keep coming back to Cocoa Daisy for all these reasons.

I sub to Studio Calico. Although I know many people have had problems getting add ons or have had bad customer service, that has not been my experience at all.

I've been designing with Citrus Twist Kits for two years now and they've really helped me grow as a scrapbooker. plus I'm proud to be associated with Trina the owner, who's committed to giving all her customers fabulous service.

I second Citrus Twist! I'm not a current subscriber because I didn't renew when we listed our house last year and I had to pack up my scrap stuff to stage the house and then we moved into a house that we're remodeling, so I just don't have time for a kit right now. I think it's a good value for the money and you get a ton of different types of embellies as well as a nice variety of paper in each kit, plus ink and stamps that are exclusive to them. I've also had great customer service with them as well. Look at their website at past kits and see what you think.

I took about a six month hiatus, but I'm soooo happy to be subscribing to Citrus Twist again. I have also previously (and hope to be again, when funds become available) been a Scraptastic subscriber, too. And, I love both of them. Both have their pros and cons, and I'm not affiliated with either company.
First I'll let you know a bit about CT. Most of their kits fit within my style, which is important. Whichever kit you chose, make sure it fits in with your style, or it becomes a waste of money. CT is a good value, especially if you get a six month sub. I think there is a good distribution of papers and embellishments. My favorite part of their kits are their exclusives. Each monthly kit has an exclusive embellishment and stamp set. I will say that the stamp set is geared towards scrapbooking, moreso than card making. It is also different than most kit clubs as it ships mid-month. So, if you sub to one that ships at the beginning of the month, you get happy mail every other week. Lol
I would also really suggest Scraptastic kits, too. These are about $5 cheaper than CT, but stamp sets are not included. Also, unlike CT, there is no commitment - with a Scraptastic sub, you can skip months and cancel at any time. The one thing I really love about their kits is that you get to choose between two different kits very month, or buy both if you want to. So, it is more likely that you will get a kit that fits your style/photos.
Regardless of the kit you choose, do your research; look at the past kits, and see which company fits your style the best. Also, look into what tine frame they're asking you to commit to. Most, if not all, kit clubs charge a cancellation fee, so be mindful of that. And, when checking the prices, be sure to figure in their shipping. I know I just gave you a lot of information, but I hope it helps.

I think the first thing to do is identify your style and the type of items you want to receive. If those three are the ones you have narrowed down, I can only speak to my experiences with Studio Calico. I love (and use) every kit every month. Their design team has wonderful inspiration every month and I find their site very easy to navigate. I particularly love how you can save pages you like by creating a folder system. I also find their message board very friendly and supportive.
I have never had a problem with their customer service. I have had an item missing once which they sent out right away and once UPS destroyed my box and damaged all goodies inside. Again, SC sent me a replacement kit right away.
One thing that I have seen lots of complaints about how difficult it can be to get add-ons. lol. You do have to be ready right when they go on sale, but I have always been able to get everything I wanted. I think sometimes people forget they are a kit club and not a real store. They don't carry an overwhelming amount of inventory. Their business model is to bring in new products every month and move as much as possible with as little left over as possible. I do believe they try to anticipate the demand for their add-ons.
The products in their kit are exclusive items mixed in with regular products. I really like the exclusives because I can buy regular stuff at any time so I prefer to have things I know I can't buy anywhere else.

I used to subscribe to ScrapRoom. I liked them because I always scrapped one page 12x12 layouts, and it was easier to work with, basically, four mini kits than one kit with just one manufacturer's worth of paper. I think it's been about six years since I subbed, though.

This is my first month in Studio Calico. While i am not happy with the whole preorder/add-ons system, i love the kits so far.

Great thread. I'm also interested in monthly kits but am thinking of one geared more towards card making. Any more recommendations?

Great thread. I'm also interested in monthly kits but am thinking of one geared more towards card making. Any more recommendations? If you are looking for card making Studio Calico has a kit and so does Simon Says Stamp. I used to subscribe to SC's card kit but I was not loving the stamp sets every month so decided to just pick a card kit up as I like the stamp set. Like the post above said, I know some people have issues with SC but I really haven't. They have really gone over and above to make things right with me at times. They do sell out of add ons fast but it is mostly scrapbook and Project Life add ons lately. A lot of the card add ons have hung around lately. I think the biggest advantage of SC is their bundling where you can bundle purchases from the 27th to the end of the month and just pay shipping once or not at all if you hit the free ship threshold. They also have a great website! I have not subscribed to SSS but have bought a kit and really liked it. Their card kit is always packed it seems. I think if you are a card maker first, this is a great kit to look into. I find it is sometimes not quite my style as I started out as a scrapbookers first. The stamp sets are generally designed by Kristina Werner and they are always cute but not always something I would use... I hope this helps!

I've subscribed to Simon Says Stamp, and I love them. Their kits are always full of stuff....I only stopped (but I'm thinking of resubbing) because there was so much stuff I couldn't keep up.

Studio Calico drives me crazy with the way they sell out of the add ons so fast and they end up on ebay but the kits are nice so I havent left yet.
Ive been looking at adding 1 more, cocoa daisy and scraptastic look really cool. Scraptastic looks neat because they let you pick between 2 kits

I get layout kits from Paisleys and Polkadots. They are an a al carte kind of club rather than a subscription. I usually get 2 layouts a month. I love her style, the papers and embellishments she chooses and have been very happy with it. I also get her mini albums sometimes. I have about 5 I think. Love them too!

I subscribe to scraptastic and I love it. One I find the price matches the products and two I get to choose my kit. The kits are pretty good and always come with cute embellishments and mini ink. It give me the chance to try many colors without spending a ton. Customer service being great is an added bonus.

I subscribe to Studio Calico (just started last month). Their kits fit my style. I do not have the extra $$ to buy the add ons, so them selling out so quickly does not phase me.

I currently sub to Gossamer Blue and LOVE them! It's my style, the customer service is phenomenal and they are a no commitment club. What I love most is that it has exclusive papers and stamps. Plus you get a sheet of printables and digital cutables along with their kits. If my budget allowed I would also add Citrus Twist. Another club with fantastic customer service. I subbed to Studio Calico but ended it as soon as my 6 months was up. It just wasn't for me. And I like supporting smaller businesses. SC feels like it's getting too big for it's britches. Another club that I've had my eye on is Scrapbook Generations. I like that they include a sketch. Scrapbook Generation

I subscribe to both Studio Calico and Gossamer Blue - just the PL kits, but I have been a subscriber with Studio Calico for over two years and have subbed to all three kits at one time or another. I haven't had issues getting what I wanted at subscriber reveal, but it's been close a couple of times. I've been getting the Gossamer Blue PL kit since it started last August and love those kits, too. Lori is a class act!

I subbed to CD and loved their kits. If I had things to do on pre-order night, I would not get add-on's that I wanted because they'd sell out just like I hear SC's do. I just chalked it up to saving me money though. I liked most of their exclusive stamps, but I'm not ordering a kit for exclusive things. I ordered because I liked the coordination of products they put together. I canceled last May as I still had a stock pile of kits I hadn't had time to use and had summer activities that wouldn't allow much scrap time. Now that they do exclusive papers and such I don't think I'll be re-subscribing.

Have you girls ever heard of Scrapbook Circle? They offer a 2 month subscription.
And how about HipKit Club? Any tips, opinions?
Thanks

I get sc and I do like their kits mostly for the exclusive products. I hate the add on rush and could get swept up in the madness. Sometimes I actually want to get one and have done so except once.
