Imagine you had enough money to live comfortably for 4 years and could go to school to study something. What would it be? It can be anything. You can study zoology and the lions in Africa. Or you can study nursing. Or music to play the flute. Anything is the limit. Why would you pick that thing?
I would love to study ancient Egypt. I have wanted to be an Egyptologist since I was 8 years old, long before Raiders of the Lost Ark, and could do research at the library myself. I would love to study archaeology and I guess some language courses to be able to read and write the ancient language, and get a degree in that. I have no desire to go to Egypt any longer. I want to just spend 4 years studying something that is only for personal interest that I really am interested in. I want to make myself an expert in it because that will mean I will have learned and retained from the effort.

My bachelors is in cultural anthropology my focus was Egyptology. My ultimate dream was to end up at The Smithsonian. My senior year I burned myself out. I decided to take some time off. Now 12 years later I'm finally working on a Masters but not in anthropology, it's in Human Relations. I guess my dream would be to finish doing what I had hoped to do 12 years ago.

Languages or physiotherapy.

Languages or physiotherapy. Why would you pick either of them? Have you always wanted to learn a different language? Would healing the body through exercises and manipulation be a passion for you?

I think I have a bit of a natural flair for languages that didn't get developed while I was at school...I got sidetracked but hearing people speak multiple languages always impresses me no end. As for physio, I am a qualified masseuse and I loved studying the mechanics of the body, how the ligaments, joints, tendons all work and connect etc etc. I should have re-trained when I was younger - I'm not sure I could do a 5 year degree now.

What an interesting question. I'd like to study photography, history or something to do with music and society.

I would do a doctoral program in clinical psychology. I always wanted to go back for that, but had to stop school and start working.

I would get another masters...this time on the influence Nancy Drew has had on women. I know people who actually have written their thesis on this subject. She certainly influenced my life...all for the better.

Looks like we share a dream!! I'm finishing up my degree in Anthropology with a focus on archaeology. It's been a slow process because I have a full time job and a family. The majority of my courses have been things that I'm taking just because I want to learn about them. I've taken a few courses through the University of Calgary but most have been through Athabasca University which has been wonderful with their flexibility! I've even been asked to work at a few excavations this summer and I can't wait!

Either interior design or architecture. Maybe fashion design with an emphasis on draping and construction. Any of those would be very fulfilling for me. They were my earliest dreams and the things I should have stuck with. I have always loved architecture, especially single family homes. I could also be happy designing clothing for others, especially if I could focus on wedding dresses and formal gowns.

Animation. Both old school and modern computer animation. And I'm sure the two years worth of classes I've already taken in art school would probably apply so I would only have to go for half the time (which would be good, because I hate school). I have always loved animation and I find it fascinating. I was that kid drawing little animations on the edges of the pages of my paperbacks to make flip books. LOL, I bought my DD a little Minecraft animation set for her birthday. She saw a video of some kids making movies with it on YouTube and she thought it was so cool. It's basically a little play set that works in conjunction with an iPad app that strings together the individual frames to make a little movie. For several months running, every time we've passed it in Target she says how much she wants it, and I keep telling her, "Not today. Maybe someone will give you that for your birthday..." I'm almost as excited to play with it as she will be!

I'd prefer to study the prints my butt makes in the sand. But since I HAVE to pick a course of study, I'd probably go with art.

I fully intend to do some evening classes - it's just a matter of doing it! I'm 54 so I know I won't learn maybe as fast as I did at school but there's really no excuse!!

Geriatric nursing, hands down.
I should have taken the path to become a nurse a decade+ ago, but money has always been the issue. I can't both raise my children all by myself, work a full time job, and go to school full time.
I would love to become a nurse and have a reliable, steady income. And have a career to be proud of.

I must be the odd ball out. I have no desire to go back to school. Honestly I hated it. I swore when I got my degree in mechanical engineering I would have to be paid big in order to ever step foot in class again. I also have no desire for on line classes either.
Don't get me wrong, I love my career dearly and thankful I stuck with school to finish it, but I'm done and for now that makes me very happy.

I'd get my PhD in my chosen field, or at least work on it for four years, because I like what I do (technical writing). I'm pretty boring that way.

I can teach you all you need to know about Asian studies in about 30 minutes! LOL. Well maybe not Chinese (Mandarin) as you have to master the 4 tones and they are not easy. ma mAH mAh and MA! Yes I am not kidding. Japanese I am good. Mandarin I thought would kill me. (It nearly did I think).

Interior design or languages, or maybe art history. The course would have to involve lots of field trips - like studying Italian in Italy
