So the 18th is Wednesday, so the theme of the day will be WASHI tape! Talk to us about washi! How much do you own? How much do you use it? How do you use it? There has been a lot of hype about Michael's color wash tape. Did you get your crafty hands on some? What are your plans for it?
Here is a page I created using M's color wash tape (without the words). I patterned my page after the sample in ACOT's May washi challenge I have trouble figuring out just what to do with it, and scraplifting what someone else has done gives me a boost.

And for the May 18th challenge: use washi tape on some project today!

Here is a page I created using M's color wash tape I love that page! Beautiful!! Talk to us about washi! How much do you own? How much do you use it? How do you use it? I have about 15 rolls. Maybe a little less. I've been trying to use it more. I try to use it like an adhesive coated piece of patterned paper. Layering it with other papers. Using it as a border strip at the top or bottom. Making a frame with it around a photo. I don't own any of the color wash from Michael's. It's pretty but I have enough washi that I'm barely using, I didn't need to add to it.

I probably have 75? rolls. I like to use a little at the top or bottom corner of a layout to anchor embellishment clusters.
I also use it like ribbon.
I DON'T use it enough!

I had 44 rolls, but then ?Blitzy? had 365 Create tubes of 7 washi on sale, so I bought 4 tubes. So 72 rolls of washi. I use it. Not on every layout (the only thing I use on every layout is some form of paper and glue). I won't be buying anymore washi for myself for awhile. My dd loves washi and has her own stash as well as uses mine. But she might get some colorwash for her birthday next month.
Typically it is a grounding point for embellishment clusters. I used it in strips like pattern paper for a background on a layout earlier this month and can see doing that again. I used it to make a banner once, but I wasn't crazy about the look, even though it looks adorable when other people post it.
Your layout is adorable!! I could see scraplifting your scraplift.

I only have one roll - building blocks (Lego). I bought it but haven't ever used it. I know our trip in January included stopping at several Lego shops so hopefully I can use it on one of those layouts! I'm just not quite sure about how to make it work for me...I had the same problem with ribbon and fibres and...

Here is the companion page to the one I posted earlier. This one is a bit more my style, with the torn edges, etc, but I tried to use washi tape in new ways. I covered a scrap of cs with washi for the title block, and used the tape as flags to back a photo and to balance that photo with a little bling in the opposite corner.

Hoping it STICKS! Because my biggest fear with washi tape is that it will lift off. My most common use for it is as stencil tape for the very reason that it can be pealed off easily.
Still on yesterday's theme of using something old... I used some paper flowers that have been in my stash forever, and tied them with some gold Christmas ribbon from my Christmas corner. I really needed to play with girlie elements! This was fun, but back to the little guy's book now...
