It actually ISN'T going to be a sunny Sunday here: cloudy and wet through the whole long weekend. But again, I locked myself into this letter of the day routine for this week...
My prompt today, is how do you portray light and sunshine on your projects? Here in northern Alberta, the days are now getting longer and longer, and we use these few short months to worship the sun. (Sorry, south of the equator people, but we'll send her back unharmed in a few months!) I love putting little suns or long rays on my summer pages. I have a pinterest board devoted to summer pages, and most of them have some representation of the sun.
And my challenge to you is if it is sunny, get outside and enjoy it! Take some photos! If not and you are stuck in the house this Sunday, then maybe create a page that reminds you of sunny days!

Thanks for the link to your inspiration page. I pinned a few of them to my board.

As a total theme scrapper, I typically don't do anything to make the page feel summery. If we are at the beach I am using beach stuff. If it is Independence Day I'm using red, white and blue. If it is a picnic I am scrapping with picnic stuff. But this thread made me think of one page I did awhile ago that I really like. I think it fits the theme!

I love summer layouts, I think I bring the sunshine in by using fun summery papers. Next to the Christmas collection, these are a big part of my 'stash'. I esp love the summer lines by Echo Park.
Looks like we will have sun today, so I will try to get out and take pics.
thanks for these prompts...and the inspiration page.

Is that "hot" heat embossed?

Is that "hot" heat embossed? Not heat embossed - I have no idea how to do something that fancy! It is a sticker from Little Yellow Bicycle Splash collection - one of my absolute favorites!

I'm home from our weekend visiting MIL - took some fun outdoor photos yesterday and stopped at Tuesday Morning and got some fun summery paper (and some other stuff too)
Hopefully back to scrapping tomorrow

I have used rays like sunshine on a page and a sun embellishment once.
I did do this challenge, went out and enjoyed the day. Several of the students from my son's catechism class were confirmed and then we had a picnic. After the picnic I dropped off my crew at a local small pond/lake to fish. There were ducks, swans, and a loon.

how do you portray light and sunshine on your projects? I used to have a small sun stamp, but sold it awhile ago. I have a bigger one, but it is more artsy farty and doesn't fit many fun layouts that I do. I have been known to Stickle sun rays around a paper punched circle. Also have used sequins.
