...for my almost 11-year-old niece. I asked her what she wanted for her birthday in a couple of weeks, and she said jewelry. I don't want anything too childish, but I don't want anything too sophisticated, either. She has pierced ears, so I thought maybe a necklace and earring set, or a necklace and bracelet set. She likes to read, likes the outdoors, and is a bit of a slob. So nothing too intricate or delicate. $50 is my upper limit. I'm looking at Etsy right now, but there's just so much to wade through. I'd like to buy online and have it sent to her. Any ideas?

I ordered this & had it sent to my niece for her graduation. It's kind of outdoorsy. I really like it, but I'm into arrows lately. She has some cute stuff in her shop. The bow bracelet is pretty cute.

I get most of my jewelry from paparazzi. I have numerous pairs of their Scarlet Shimmer earrings, and get so many compliments on them. (They are marketed to younger girls). Plus they are only a dollar a pair they also have bracelets, necklaces and headbands as well.

I was also going to suggest the Alex and Ani collections. There is so much to choose from, and they are made well.

what about an origami owl necklace, or a knockoff? then she could add charms as she likes, change the faceplate colors, etc. it would be something that could grow with her.

All good choices above. One of my favorite is Brighton.com
All their pieces are beautiful and last forever without turning color.

What about something from Keep Collective? They have wrap bracelets that you can customize with different charms to fit her interests/hobbies. Also have necklaces as well.

I second that emotion.. I've recently come across Keeps and love it.. may become a dealer just to get the kit! That's what several of my friends have done but I haven't taken the leap yet
