How often are there photos of YOU in your scrapbooks? Since I am usually the one behind the camera, not often. Sometimes a dil or my nephew's wife will grab the camera and get some photos of me, but for the most part my scrapbooks are not really even ABOUT me: they are about my grandkids, or about the family in general. Now they are filled with my VOICE: my take on things, advice, interpretations... But they are not about me. the challenge for today is to take a selfie. Then scrap it. And if you really want to get into this, do what justjac did and scrap it beside a photo of your younger self. Can't seem to make the link, but her page is in the 2peas gallery, titled "18 years". Another take is to scrap yourself scrapping! Tell me you never lined up mirrors as a kid so you could see a series of images enclosed in images...

My mom and brother were visiting this weekend so we went out to eat and I made sure to get a photo of us by the marina. I try to make sure I am in the photo and I never miss an opportunity to take a photo with my mom or a photo of my kids with their grandma.
Many years ago at the first Great American Scrapbook Convention, I won the layout contest for a layout about me. I had a photo of myself from each decade with a journalling box under each photo describing where I lived and what I was doing at that time. I had babyhood up to age 40. I added a second page when I turned 50 to continue it, and next year I will add age 60. I definately make sure my life is scrapped and that I am present in my kids' scrapbooks.

I have tried to be better with this the last few years. I'm still not in a ton of photos but a few at least. Now, an actual selfie? Just of me? Not too likely that will happen anytime soon. LOL.

How often are there photos of YOU in your scrapbooks? Not often enough. I just don't do anything interesting enough for someone else to want to keep a pic of it. (And I'm terrible at selfies) I did have my mom take a pic of me on my last birthday, because no one had for years before that. And it seems that I'm the only one who takes a purposefully good pic of people. If I ask others to take a pic of me, they just point the camera in my general direction, snap once, and hand it back. I always have my head half cut off, or miss an arm, or something growing out of the top of my head, or I blink. I mean, come on, people! This is digital. Take good pics. Or take them again and again until a good-ish one magically appears. I'm planning *someday* to go buy a fabulous outfit, go have my makeup done professionally, and go to a portrait studio and have my photos taken for once. LOL.

How often are there photos of YOU in your scrapbooks? Probably not as often as I should be. When my husband went from the work preferred blackberry to the iphone, he started taking a lot more family selfies. I do have an album that has sections for just me, just hubs, and for us. Since I haven't done a ton of layouts they all live in one book for now. I have found that I get photos of my son and me much more frequently than my daughter and me and I need to concentrate on some together photos with her.

I actually take quite a few selfies with DS. I get a much better photo of him if he can see himself on the phone and he will usually smile and cooperate for a photo that way. So I do feel like I'm in the albums quite a bit.
The problem I struggle with is at events and things, I am taking the photos of the actions. I..e picking of the strawberries. So I'm rarely, if ever, in those types of photos. If I can hand the camera off to DH for a bit it works, but if it's just me & DS out doing stuff, it doesn't happen. So the selfies have to do.

hardly take pictures of my self...or have them taken.
my problem is in my head I think I look like dd...then I see that picture and don't know who that old woman is...
yesterday we had an 'event' and my friend took some of me with the grandkids, if they did not turn out too awful, I may scrap them...

I'm usually the one taking the photos - and selfies with the dslr don't really happen. My middle child got her own dslr for her birthday this month and she's usually pretty good at getting a photo of mum at events (as was her older brother when he lived at home)
I did scrap one of me recently - DS snapped a photo of me at my desk when he was home on leave

This is so true! I have to hand the camera off and say, "Take a picture of me doing this. Most of the photos of me are posed. hardly take pictures of my self...or have them taken. my problem is in my head I think I look like dd...then I see that picture and don't know who that old woman is... yesterday we had an 'event' and my friend took some of me with the grandkids, if they did not turn out too awful, I may scrap them... And wondering who the old woman is in the photos - this is me! I tell myself I certainly look younger than my grandmother did at my age, but for many years I have looked in the mirror and seen my grandmother, and not in her youth, lol!

I used to avoid the camera like the plague. Then I lost some weight and now I'm comfortable being photographed. For a long period of time there were only one or two pictures of me in my albums. Now there are lots more. I know my kids will appreciate seeing more of our life in our scrapbooks and not just them at the park or whatever.
I don't take selfies of my myself but I do take selfies of my family. I love those. All of use trying to squish into frame is always funny and my husband will usually do something silly and make us laugh. I always love how they turn out.

DH will take pics of me sometimes. I wasn't a big selfie taker, but we've started doing them in front of things when we're on vacation. No selfie stick though. I try to ask for copies of pics others take with me in them. LOAD has been great for getting me to document my daily life this month.

I mostly scrap vacations so I think there are quite a few photos of me, but they are largely selfies. I've travelled a bit alone so had to learn to take a decent photo of me with the scenic background or risk the photos of strangers who are kind to offer but often will take a portrait shot to make sure they get my feet in the photo not to capture the soaring cathedral ceiling.
My SO is not fond of having his photo taken but will happily pose for a dozen silly selfies and these also often make it into my albums.
Like Alissa I also struggle with being in the photos at events so I'm often missing from things like my Christmas albums.
