I am hosting a going away party for friends this weekend. As a gift to them, I am having all the guests sign Jenga game pieces with best wishes, favorite memories, etc. This idea is typically found at weddings and the sign is something along the lines of "building memories". Help me think of what to put on the sign that tells the guests what to do. What I have so far is, "Thank you for helping the ____ family build lasting memories here in Texas. Please sign 1 (or 2 or 3) pieces with your best wishes or favorite memories for the them to cherish as the move to _____." They are moving someplace very cold, so I imagine they will be playing a lot of indoor games, so I thought this would be fun for them.
Is this okay? Any tweaks you would make?
I know you Peas are more creative than I am!

We did this for DS's graduation last year. I didn't save the file, but I think the sign said something like "Thank you for helping me build my future. Please sign a block with a memory of our time together."
I think what you have is great. I think it's a nice keepsake.

That's a great going away gift. I don't know what I'd add, but I think you're doing a really fun thing for them. You could even send them off w/board games to play in the cold weather.

This is such a cute idea. I appreciate your sharing. I hold a Cousin Camp 2-3 times a year for my grandchildren. I decided to have each of them sign a Jenga piece and include their age at each Camp. Over the years it will be fun for them to look back on their handwriting at various ages, because we ALWAYS play Jenga. I would never have thought of this without your thread, shanniebananie, so thank you for posting this.

I think if there were also a few pieces signed already for an example, the sign directions wouldn't be as critical.

We did this at my god-daughter's wedding last year but I can't remember anything particularly witty about signage I'm afraid.

That's a really cute idea. I'd like it if I received a thoughtful gift like that.
