Or did you just pick it up as an adult? Do you think at some point you will just stop altogether?
I have always loved doing crafts that I can remember, since elementary school. I did not pick up SB'ing until adulthood when I came across a CK magazine at a hair salon. After online SB shopping was in full swing, I went crazy, because there was so much better stuff than what you could find at Michaels.
I have done all sorts of crafts, but none of it is anything I have a desire to get back into. But paper-crafting, I love. Almost any type. At first I did not want to get into stamping because of the cost of stamps, but too late, fell into that rabbit hole a long time ago. I don't think I will ever choose to stop paper crafting in some way. Less stuff? Probably, but not quit completely.
How about you?

I have always been a gatherer of memories; a collector. I have had scrapbooks of memorabilia, and post card collections and photo albums since I was a child. As I go back and try to scrap old memories I have this treasure trove of saved stuff. One of my earliest collections was napkins and placemats from restaurants and venues and I use them now in my scrapbooks.
I have always liked making things, but my early stuff was making things out of nothing, like paper dolls out of old catalogs and doll houses out of cardboard boxes. As a child I liked to draw and write poems.
I still like to do folk art painting and make doll pins in historical costumes. I used to spin cotton, wool and linen for awhile but never really mastered it. Did a bit of quilting. But I am not good with anything that requires precision. I have to be able to go with the flow, make what I see in my head and I have no patience for lengthy projects. I like immediate gratification!

Always! As far back as I can remember anyway. In grade school and high school I would tape (yes, scotch tape) memorabilia into a large scrapbook that I still have. I've definitely quit some crafts altogether but I still love paper crafts, and I love learning new things like weaving. Scrapbooking seems to be the most constant one over the years.

Yes, I have always been a crafter. Even as a kid.
I didn't find scrapbooking until after my daughter died in 2005 - but when I did find it, I was hooked immediately.

I've always been a crafter as far as I can remember. I actually remember sitting in my closet (not sure why I picked that spot - ha!) making a bunny needlepoint. The back is dated as me being three yrs old. It's pretty good too, especially considering my age! Clearly I had some awesome fine motor skills I made an old-style scotch tape on paper album inserts in high school. It's pretty funny to look at. After college I discovered scrapping as we know it and have never looked back. I've gone through phases where I make more cards or more layouts, but I have a hard time imagining giving up paper completely. I love the memory keeping aspect of it all as well, ESPECIALLY in this digital age where photos are often "poof" due to format changes or memory failures, etc.

Yes, I started embroidering when I was 6, sewing Barbie clothes when I was 9, also the age I made my first cake with help. Started making my own clothes when I was 13. I was 10 when I started ceramics. I was 14 when I made my first Christmas cards with white construction paper, traced the design I'd drawn onto the construction paper card and colored with markers and glittered. I was 18 when I started making candles. Yep, totally wasted the first 6 years of my life not doing crafts! Oops, not all 6 years, I started learning to play piano AND read music when I was 4. Guess I always liked to do stuff! The nice thing is, that paper crafting tools work on SO many of my other crafts. I used my dies and punches to make stencils for my glass etching and so on. Got to get to work, can't finish this!

Yep, always been a crafter. I think my love of scrapbooking comes from the 'scrapbooks' my Mum got us keeping as kids - sticking things into large blank books, plus painting, colouring and all the rest. I used to make cards when I was about 7 or 8 as well - I mostly used dried flowers and would sell them for charity.

I started adding memorabilia to my sticky photo album in high school, but I didn't discover scrapbooking until 2000 after I'd been teaching a couple years. I did a bit of crocheting with my grandma, and I tried latch hooking. My mom sewed and painted, so someday I'd like to do that, too. Maybe when I retire. I currently do Pinterest crafts for gifts: coasters, Christmas wreaths. I've dabbled in mixed media canvases. Scrapbooking is the only thing I'm really committed to other than baking.

Yes, always. I remember embroidering jean jackets as a young teen, making a quilt, needlepoint, counted cross-stitch, etc.
I have made wreaths and other crafts items.
I always kept memorabilia and simple scrapbooks. I discovered scrapbooking as a hobby when we were expecting our first grandchild.
I can't wait to be retired so I can do more crafting.

I have always been a crafter, growing up in a family and a long line of crafters. Thanks to my mother, I've been introduced to most crafts, from weaving and knitting to cross-stitching, lacemaking and potato prints. She has always focused on the textile crafts and I could never really measure up in those, so my own specialty became paper crafts, including scrapbooking and cardmaking. Funny thing is that, after I've been making cards for many years, my mom is now taking up cardmaking and stamping. But currently she's very busy knitting cute little sweaters for my nephew, who is expected to arrive any day now.

I've always done some kind of craft. Latch hook, knit, crochet, sewing, cross stitch, macrame, pompom animals, and I'm sure there's more. It wasn't until I was an adult that I started stamping and scrapping.

I've always had a fascination with paper and writing. Best Christmas present I ever received was in 5th grade my mother gave me a big cardboard box full of school and office supplies. It was GLORIOUS!!!

Barbie clothes!!! Yes. I made those too Some handmade items are still in my Barbie stash in the garage. Lol! More recently I've made my nieces burp cloths and cloth diapers for their baby dolls. I used up some scrap pieces of flannel. They turned out really cute. But currently she's very busy knitting cute little sweaters for my nephew, who is expected to arrive any day now. My mom is the textile queen too. She's a great seamstress and I could never measure up to her talents. I do know how to sew but prefer to hand over any projects to her & they'll turn out perfect. She taught me to cross stitch and needlepoint too. I'm actually confident in that area, but I get bored doing them. My mom tried to get into card making a few years ago, but got bitten by the jewelry bug and does that now too. Her stuff is pretty cool. The positive to having a crafty mom is that she totally gets my "wish lists" and doesn't think it's a weird gift if I ask for certain ink colors or something. And vice versa. I've bought her a lot of jewelry tools lately.

I think I was born with a crayon in my fist, LOL. My mom sewed a lot (as in most of our clothes and most of her own), she also knew how to knit and crochet. Her twin did beautiful needlepoint and embroidery. I must have bugged her to learn to sew when I was very young because she handed me a big needle, some fabric and some buttons when I was five and taught me how to sew the buttons onto the fabric. I remember cutting out little people from scraps of heavy fabric and sewing on buttons for the eyes, etc. By the time I was seven, I had my own sewing machine and could sew my own basic knit clothes and by the time I was eight or nine I was designing my own stuffed toys from looking at the ones I had and improvising. I remember taking a Palmer Pletsch sewing class with my older sister when I was about 12, and my project looked nicer than hers! (Not to mention mine actually got finished and hers didn't!) Took my first Wilton cake decorating class at 14. Bought my first rubber stamps when I was about 15 and have continued to collect them for over 30 years. In the years since then, I've also done cross stitch, a little crochet, quilting, mosaic, latch hook, plastic canvas, stained glass, painting, drawing/illustration, paper making, Halloween costumes (and made the patterns from scratch), miniatures, decoupage, paper tole, quilling, miniature teddy bears (the smallest one was 1.25" high and fully jointed), stamping, scrapbooking, letterpress printing, book binding, photography, machine embroidery, pop-ups, designing paper piecings and 3D shaped boxes, I can't even think of everything I've tried. I'm pretty sure that I'll do some kind of crafting as long as I'm physically able to.

I have always been crafting. My Mom told me when I was a baby I loved to tear up magazines and make little collages out of them. I have been smash booking since I was five, scrapbooking since I was in grade school & doing any craft I could think of since I was a small child. I was lucky both my parents were professional crafters with two large studios. In my twenties I learned how to cross-stitch. I have always been crafting and have a variety of interests.

I started actually scrapping as an adult, but there must have always been a part of me that wanted to, because I still had all of my (paper) awards from grade school & high school. And I was the kid who collected stickers, and would choose them over candy.
I don't ever see myself stopping scrapbooking.

I've been a crafter all my life probably since we didn't have much money as a kid so I had to make everything myself. I grew up crocheting, sewing, embroidering, painting, and making miniatures for a doll house. As an adult I continued with those plus knitting, ribbon embroidery, crafts with my kids/scout troops etc. I found scrapbooking when my kids were little and that is the craft I have stuck with the longest (along with crocheting). I am now dabbling in stamping/art journals. I have found that papercrafting gives me the most satisfaction and what I have learned from this craft I have used the most in other areas of my life. I have purged many craft supplies over the years but very little of my papercrafting supplies.

For as long as I can remember, but I didn't "officially" buy my first scrapbook item until 2002. I happened to be out and about and saw a paper store and went all heart eyes. The bug really hit after my wedding and first child were born. I highly doubt I'll ever willingly give up this "hobby".

I started baking and crafting as a kid. I remember begging my mom to take me to the yarn store. People would laugh when they'd see me knitting. Maybe back then it was a granny hobby. I also really loved stationary. I'd drool over all the pens and different papers. I still do. I've narrowed it down to paper crafts these days and that's 90% scrapbooking. I don't think I'll every stop scrapping. I love my pictures and paper too much.

I used to work at a fabric store in my late teen/early 20's. I have sewn: clothes, Xmas tree skirts, Barbie clothes, and costumes! I made up my own Pepsi can, and M&M bag costumes. Now I will only do simple things like pillows, or hemming pants. I don't want to deal with all those fabric pieces.

yes. I get it from my mom. growing up, I watched her repurpose stuff into useful household stuff with a touch of arts and crafts to it. one time, she rolled up glossy magazine pages into thin tubes then wrap them around juice concentrate containers to make pen holders. from then on I was hooked on crafting. paper crafts is fun and sewing has been really useful.

I have always been a crafter. When I was in high school, I figured out how to sew hair scrunchies and sold them to my sister's college friends. When Creative Memories was big in my 20s, I became hooked on papercrafting and I haven't looked back since. I transitioned to more of a crafter vs. a scrapbooker. I enjoy making cards, working with vinyl and doing various projects.
