Anyone have a good gym bag that is big enough or has a strap on the outside to hold your yoga mat?

Yes! I have this bag - Aurorae Cross Body Sling Backpack. I LOVE it. It's so well made and it holds not only the yoga mat, but it has a section for wet clothes, towel, props or straps, cell phone, keys, etc. And when you aren't using it for yoga, it makes a really great travel bag (I made sure to get it in a color that my DH wouldn't mind carrying). I'm so impressed with it that I'm definitely going to order a mat from the same company when I need to replace my current mat.

Thanks BF! I was looking at that one on Amazon but didn't want to pull the trigger since it was $35. Great to have the personal recommend.

Thanks BF! I was looking at that one on Amazon but didn't want to pull the trigger since it was $35. Great to have the personal recommend. I know. I felt the same way. But in the end, when I compared it to other bags that would work for yoga, it was the one that I felt could be used for other things.
It's worth $35 to get my husband to leave the fanny pack behind when we go on a trip!
For what it's worth, a laptop will fit into the bag. It's very roomy yet not a huge bag to carry. I think it will also make a great carry on bag for air travel.

IKEA bag! Those blue plastic things. I have a round yoga mat and this thing fits my mat, blanket, two yoga blocks and strap. Love it. I got mine on Amazon. I think they were 5 for under $10! Ikea bag on Amazon

This is more of a what not to buy. I have THIS BAG and getting the mat in and out of the little straps is a royal PITA. I don't even bother with it anymore. The bag is cute and I do like it for carrying things in and out of the gym; it just doesn't work for my yoga mat.
