**My dd her bff and I started some of the craft projects for the outdoor decor. I am going to close off the bird house openings so we will not hurt any birds.
I am going to paint little bird houses to decorate my wood fence. I may also do come painting on the fence itself. What type of paint should I use and is there something I can put over the paint to keep the weather from ruining the items? I also need it to be animal friendly. Thanks.

Benjamin Moore paint has paint that is eco friendly.
Sound's like a fun project. I spray my outdoor projects with Krylon matte spray. There are some wipe on matte finishes that will also work. It has been a long time since I have painted an outdoor item.
This seems like a lovely addition to your fence. Please post pictures when this is completed.

I was inspired by Pinterest. I want my dd and her bff to help me.

We have a lot of birds that come to the yard to eat, and I would not want to put them in harms way. You could paint little houses that don't have openings--that are purely decorative. I understand about not wanting to harm the birds. It's why I no longer have a hummingbird feeder. I was too nervous that I would make them sick and they would suffocate.
