for just yourself? I'm trying to get better at making lunch for just myself. I'm home by self all day all the time. Till about 5. I can make things that Dh doesn't like so I'm trying to do things like wraps and more grill cheese. He likes grill cheese but I like things like avacodo and tomato on it but I'm also trying to think of more things that aren't frozen as well. I like the Stouffers Mac N Cheese Cups. Do you make lunch for just your self if you're home? I don't have kids. That might be easier. I can't necessarily share it with my dogs!

No one else is going to, so yes.
Usually I have a salad or a wrap or leftovers.

Yes, I eat at home usually 4/5 weekdays. I make my meals on Sunday though and put them in individual containers and just grab on everyday. No way could I make myself a meal (like cooking) everyday. I would just either skip or grab take out and thats no good...

Not really. Lunch is leftovers or something that is assembled (sandwich, salad, meat/cheese plate, cereal, etc). Basically anything that makes very little mess. PB&J is my standard but today I had salami bites with a cheese stick and a couple of salted chocolate caramel bites. My mom makes three large meals a day and I swear she spends half the day in the kitchen prepping, cooking/baking, cleaning up. As soon as she is done with breakfast, she is starting in on lunch. She loves it but I tell my family I am only cooking once a day.

I'm a SAHM to two teens so I'm home alone most days at lunch time ... I eat a lot of soup and wraps When dh is home (he's a realtor so is home from time to time) he eats leftovers or eggs and toast ...

Not usually.
Today I "made" lunch...cheese sandwich, because I was craving mustard. LOL!

I always have something to eat during the day, but it is pretty light & simple. It might be leftovers but is more likely to be cheese & crackers, tuna salad & celery or cucumber rounds or yogurt & berries with my apple a day. If I'm really hungry I'll scramble eggs or make a sandwich.

I work part time but on my days off I rarely cook for just myself. I'll have something on Ryvita or rice cakes, or leftovers. We have our cooked dinner in the evenings. We call it "tea" because we're British.

Yes, usually leftovers, but I eat a lot of peanut butter & triscuits or cheese & triscuits, and yogurt. Soup or sandwich sometimes, depending on what's available.

Well.... I just finished a bowl of cereal for lunch (yes, it's almost 4:00) so perhaps I'm not the right one to answer this.

Absolutely. Sandwich and chips, avocado toast, salads, leftovers...whatever I have on hand.

I try to find some meat and cheese in the fridge. I am horrible about eating breakfast. I will generally eat a piece of fruit if I can find one. By three I am hungry and could eat every meal.

one thing we never do is eat lunch or make lunch at home. obviously we can't when we are at work but on the weekends or days off, we still don't do it. I don't know why. in our 25 years together, lunch at home is one thing we never really do.
it is very rare that I make lunch for myself at home. I would have to be in the middle of a project to stop and make something to eat for lunch. otherwise, I/we just eat out.

I don't necessarily "make" something, but I often have something that DH or my kids don't like. I'm partial to simple things like hummus and carrots, or yogurt and fruit, for lunch when I'm home. I'm not a sandwich person at all, so I rarely make myself a sandwich of any kind.

I don't eat breakfast but I make myself the same lunch pretty much every day. High fibre toast topped with ham, cheese and fried egg whites, sliced tomato on the side. I never get tired of it!

Yes, but I try to plan ahead with dinners.
For instance, I make a side dish that I know will have leftovers for a side for lunch. I will grill extra chicken to make chicken salad, etc...

Yes, either a sandwich or leftovers. I work from home two days a week so this week I had/made egg salad for a sandwich on Monday and I had leftovers today.

Yes during my staycations I still made my lunch for the week on Sunday and put it into individual containers. That way I could easily grab something quickly during the day and prevent grazing.

This summer I've been having a green smoothie (with hemp seeds for protein) for lunch almost every day.

I do but I need to come up with some better ideas. Not sure how much longer I can eat a pb&j sandwich? LOL! I think it is time for some variety.

DH comes in for lunch - so it is actually our big meal of the day. I usually fix a meat, potato, veg, and maybe a fruit or cookie for dessert. Supper is usually lighter. Something on the grill in the summer or soups in the winter.
I fix breakfast too - but it is nothing major. Egg sandwich, oats, or something like that.
We have one kid home for the summer, and usually more on the weekends. Plus friends that wander in - so I usually have something in the fridge that can be microwaved quick if they are hungry. I have a pork shoulder on the smoker today to make a big batch of pulled pork.

3 days a week I take my lunch to school. The other two days I eat out while running errands or meeting friends. During the summer break it's a toss up. I don't like sandwiches.

I'm more likely to just assemble something quick or eat leftovers. I want to make minimal mess and put forth minimal effort for lunch.

Usually lunch is leftovers. Maybe one day a week I may make a sandwich or quesadilla. But I never make a full on new meal even when everyone is home. That's what leftovers are for.
