I am. It's interesting to see all of this so many years later... this whole case is so sad to me...the families never did get any kind of justice. it's so hard for me to understand that that jury let him off..not because of his innocence but because they wanted to use it as a message. and it never changed a thing. The prosecution on the case was really terrible. Several jurors have said that if they'd been presented with all the information, they wouldn't have voted to acquit. The prosecution made some missteps, but to me Judge Ito had a big hand in the way the whole thing rolled out. The way he treated Marcia Clark so disrespectfully was huge. I heard a number of jurors said flat out after there was no way they were going to rule OJ guilty, no matter what.

Yes, I binge watched parts 1-4. Part 5 is tomorrow. They managed to get a lot of interviews. Chris D. is the exception.

I think it is fascinating how much alike OJ and Mark Furman are. They both believe their own BS and are completely delusional. The both believe themself to be above the law. Same mind set.

what a tool and an ass, OJ is. So glad he is in prison where he belongs. I wonder why Chris Darden was told not to have OJ put on the glove, but did it any way.

I've got it recorded. I remember being in College and during one of my classes, the teacher stopped everything and turned on the radio to hear the verdict.

I just started watching. I have Verizon FIOS and they're on demand. Very interesting so far. You still have Verizon Fios? Our Verizon got sold off to Frontier here in California..boo. Ugh, sucks, because it's not on my on demand. I had to go to our Apple tv and watch it on the ESPN on demand app. It's hassle though. I hate having to find the other remote, and try to remember is it HDMI 1 or 2..find the apple remote..click through and find the show. Hassle. pfft. I watched the first and most of the second, almost the entire series. It's excellent, and I agree Burning Feather, I did get a lot of insight, and he does come off as a bit sympathetic. But then you get to the way he beat on Nicole like a punching bag and ugh. He's vile. I don't get how people still fawn over him and seek him out. Gross. Such a great series, the best so far that I've seen. Very well done.

If anyone is thinking of skipping this because they watched the other recent FX series on OJ, don't.
This one - although much heavier with social issues of the time - is completely different. It's very well done in a documentary style and there is quite a bit of new information that sheds a light on everything that factored into it.
As I linked before, it is streaming (all 5 episodes) on ESPN.

I would very much rather watch a documentary than a "recreation". Me too. Very interesting series, and more than just about OJ.

Just finishing the last episode.
It's beyond me how they didn't convict him for the murders. The one juror was like, "We just wanted to go home." WTF, lady? That made me mad to hear her say that.
He's a disgusting pig.
The series was very well done.

The one juror was like, "We just wanted to go home." I would be embarassed to admit that on TV. Shame on her!

The one juror was like, "We just wanted to go home." I would be embarassed to admit that on TV. Shame on her! That same juror bluntly admitted that her not guilty vote was "payback" for the Rodney King incident. She also clearly hated Marcia Clark. She said "Marcia Clark?" and then made the thumbs down gesture. She did say later that after his arrest/conviction of kidnapping, etc. that she might regret her not guilty vote.

On the NPR story they talked about the glove. They said they were wary of having him try it on because they didn't know if it would fit. But, OJ hadn't been able to take one of his medications (arthritis maybe) and decided that because he wasn't taking the medication his had would be more swollen, fingers stiff and wouldn't fit. One of the reporters being interviewed had interviewed a friend of OJ's who brought up the idea of the medication to OJ while he was in jail.

One of the reporters being interviewed had interviewed a friend of OJ's who brought up the idea of the medication to OJ while he was in jail. It wasn't that he wasn't able to; he and his defense team specifically arranged for him to skip that medication. Or more precisely, his legal team because (at least according to the documentary) when they brought it up to him he said "I can't do that." They responded "because..." and then they said that the light bulb over his head went off when he realized it would mean that his hands would swell. Those gloves wouldn't have fit anyway. They were stiff with dried blood and there wasn't any way he was going to get them over the surgical gloves he put on first. I wear those kinds of gloves often when I'm preparing food and I can't even easily get an oven mitt over them because they are grabby.
