you have to try this! My coworker just gave me the recipe the other day, and I made it for the first time. It is soooo delicious! I added about a 1/2 tablespoon of half and half. I have made iced coffee before by simply cooling brewed coffee and pouring it over ice, but I never was a huge fan of it. But this is yummy! food52.com/recipes/2018-magical-coffee

That sounds yummy!
For my iced coffee, I just brew a pot of coffee, allow it to cool, then freeze in ice cube trays. Pop 5-6 coffee cubes into the blender with cream and maple syrup and blend. No watery coffee from the ice cubes melting.

That sounds like iced sugar to me! Planning to try OP's recipe. My fave is Dunkin Donuts with sweet hazelnut.. it is to die for I sometimes make it at work, we have various coffee flavorings and I just let a couple refills of my morning coffee cool off until the afternoon. Our ice cubes are too big though so I guess I'll have to bring in a hammer

Love iced coffee. Recipe sounds delicious, but I admit to being too lazy to make it that way.
I just pour hot, sweetened, black coffee over a large cup of ice, then stir in milk/half & half.

Would the recipe work for non-sweetened coffee? I hate sweet coffee. I usually put about 1/3 cup of ice coffee in my French Press and leave it to stand for 3-5 minutes and then press. It *usually* comes out pretty strong I pour it over ice and add cream. I drink a LOT of iced coffee. I mean tons!

Yes, you can make it unsweetened. I saw a recipe for plain iced coffee. Apparently, when you cold brew it like that, it is less bitter tasting than cooling brewed coffee and pouring it over ice. I had no idea. I made this one at night before I went to bed, and then strained it in the morning.

I'm lazy and just brew a pod over a glass of ice. Add 1/2&1/2, sip and enjoy.

I am making this without sugar and cinnamon. Who knows how it will turn out. I hope it's good. Will give feedback tomorrow.

toddy cold brew coffee maker is the BEST for iced coffee. toddycafe.com/we make it evry week or so. you use 2 oz. for a cup of hot coffee. for an ice coffee i use 2 oz. cold brew, a splash of creamer, one sweet and low, and milk (or milk and water) to total 13 oz. it's REALLY good! we use french market coffee with chicory. have tried others, but this one is the best! you can make cold brew other ways, but this is pretty easy and easily pays for itself if you can make delicious coffee and are able to drive right by starbucks. my iced coffee is WAY better than theirs!

I'm lazy and just brew a pod over a glass of ice. Add 1/2&1/2, sip and enjoy. Doesn't it make it awfully weak? Just curious.

I loved iced coffee.
Funny story, I was in Germany on a particularly hot day, climbing around in an old ruined castle. Getting very hot. We stopped at a cafe and I wanted iced coffee. All of these little cafes advertise "Eis Kaffee." So I order one. Its a tall parfait glass filled with vanilla ice cream, with coffee poured on top and whipped cream and sometime little chocolate curls on top. WOW! Very yummy.
The next time I went to a cafe, I tried to explain to the server that I just wanted coffee with ice cubes in it. Not happening. No ice cubes in Germany.

Just to update this. I made the iced coffee without the brown sugar and the cinnamon as I don't like sweetened coffee. It's pretty good. My dad had some and he thought it was excellent. I thought it was just ok. I don't feel great this morning so that may be way. It wasn't awful but it wasn't the be all to end all.

Yum, thanks! I'm the only coffee drinker in my family, so I usually just go buy a latte - I'm too lazy to brew at home and then have to clean it - but this sounds right up my alley!

Yum, thanks! I'm the only coffee drinker in my family, so I usually just go buy a latte - I'm too lazy to brew at home and then have to clean it - but this sounds right up my alley! I used a 4 cup measuring cup and it fit nicely into the fridge AND it was easy to separate the grounds as I have a very fine strainer. The coffee was easy to make. I used filtered water to make it and just let it stand in the fridge for 18 hours or so. It was plenty long enough. It was good. It was really cold and I liked that about it. It didn't need ice it was so cold.Cream in it was very nice, too!

So I tried this recipe last night, made it just like the recipe. Had a glass this morning with my breakfast, over ice with a splash of coconut milk creamer. It was delicious! But more than that, I don't drink coffee because it give me acid reflux. Ive had NO problem today! Awesome!
Thank you OP for posting this recipe.
