Good Friday morning ladies!!!!!!! I hope you've all had a successful week and met some NSV as well as some SV! I'm chugging along holding steady...no real loss, no real gain...just holding steady. My eating has been less than stellar this week and I know it's just because it's been crazy. Tonight is the banquet so tomorrow...tomorrow should start to settle down!! Today is all banquet stuff for me. Tomorrow my first order of business is sleeping in. Then I need to do some basic housework type stuff in the morning and also grocery shop and then later in the afternoon/evening my BFF and her family are coming over for a bonfire and to hang out for a while. Sunday is a completely free day for us...and I cannot tell you how excited I am for that. If the weather's nice, the kids will probably spend the day in the pool. Me? I'm hoping to get a workout in and get back into my routine. I also plan on spending some time putting together some sort of weight workout for me to get started on this week. I hope you all have a wonderful Friday!! And keep up the hard work! We can do this ladies!!!

Your weekend sounds great brandy327! Enjoy. Ours is similar - after 2 months of tons to do, this weekend is fairly open. KikiPea posted yesterday about they hydrostatic body fat testing. I found it really interesting, and the same company she used (a mobile testing truck) is going to be close to me this weekend! I made an appointment. I know my results are going to be not good, but I like the idea of having a different measure than the scale to track progress. They are also doing an 8 week fat loss challenge (that started last Saturday), and I messaged them to see if I can get in on it. It is $100 and gets you 2 body fat measurements (they are $49 each normally anyway) plus membership in a Facebook competition group and there are 3 prizes for those who lose the most body fat. Grand prize is $500 (or $1000 if they have over 50 participants, not sure where they are at). Would be a good way to stay on track for the next couple months at least!

Happy Friday. I'm going to lunch with a friend and already trying to think about eating well from the menu. I haven't weighed in this week; I'll jump on the scale in tomorrow morning. Although my eating has been fairly good, I haven't had any real exercise in a week. According to my doctor, it may be another 3 weeks before I can really get serious about exercise again. I'll have to just stay the course with diet until then.
Hope everyone's weekend is relaxing.

Ds and dh are still out of town on their guys trip.
DD and I are going to check out an Aveda school. She is thinking about going to school to be an estetcian. I need to learn how to spell that if she chooses to do it. Lol! We are getting facials at the school. Then we are doing a long day of shopping, eating out, and going to a cute little cake shop for dessert.
Have a good one ladies.

I'm tired of the few extra pounds I have. Yesterday and today, I went for a 3 mile walk through my neighborhood. I bought a maxiclimber. That killed my legs in 5 minutes.
I'm hoping to find a routine that I can actually stick with.

brandy327 I'm glad your weekend gives you some free time. It seems like you're awfully busy! What kind of weight workout are you considering? Something with free weights? AN the hydrostatic testing sounds interesting! Because of the summer heat, I'm doing treadmill walking rather than neighborhood walking. MUCH less fun! Save

Leg day at gym today. I have to do walking lunges for 5 minutes straight AFTER a killer leg routine. Not sure I can...

Save Yes, I have some free weights (although only 2 lbers, 5 lbers and 10 lbers) and I have a Bowflex. I feel like I really need to start adding in some weights to building some muscle tone. It won't fix all the excess skin but I'm seriously lacking muscle. LOL It hasn't been super hot here but I do all of my running for the C25K on the treadmill. I read while I do it though so not that boring - if anything, it makes the time go by faster!

I do too, but I don't know how to use it! I bought it from a friend. I just haven't wanted to find a video to learn how to use it.

We love our Bowflex! We also have free weights but the Bowflex makes things easier for me and DH to work out together. He's stronger than I am and changing the weight is fast and easy. I know that free weights are preferred but right now I prefer the Bowflex. We use it every other day.
We have been enjoying my husband's "staycation" week. We have had something planned everyday- tonight we are going to see a play in an outdoor theater. Yesterday we went two hours away to a tour that had us walking about 2 1/2 miles. It was The House on the Rock in Spring Green, WI for those from around here. So it was four hours in the car but about five hours being on our feet. Spring Green is the location of a famous Frank Lloyd Wright house, Taliesin (which was a big part of the book"Loving Frank") and this House on the Rock. Eventually we'll get to see both of them, but we picked the weird one first.
I am gearing up to start Whole 30 on Monday. We are having grilled pizza tomorrow but I'm trying not to have a large number of splurges. I had some splurges last weekend with my in laws (which was fine) but I went back to my usually plan after they left so I'm not going thru sugar detox too bad next week. We'll see how that works! I am actually excited at the prospect of having some relief from my allergies.

I would love to have a BowFlex! I need to start working more on my arms - they are so flabby.
DS has a dentist apt right now , then off to work. Our big Agency dinner is tomorrow so it's going to be a busy day helping get ready for that. We have one of our clients sharing her story tomorrow night. She came into our (domestic violence) shelter when her twins were 10 days old. From the shelter she moved into transitional housing and last year she purchased her home through Habitat. She is an amazing woman and I really hope her story touches the people attending our dinner (and hopefully they will in turn open up their wallets).
Going to attempt to run with those darn insoles tonight. Wish me luck!

Afternoon!
I went to the gym early today--got in a squat session then met a dear friend for a long lunch. I had a sandwich--something I rarely do, but the bread was soft and had a little honey-ish taste to it, the ham was fresh sliced and the cheese was on point. Totally worth it! Also did a little yoga--trying to keep my legs healthy for the last week of my squat programming. TGIF!

LAST FULL DAY OF SCHOOL!!!!! I WON'T HAVE MY 8TH GRADE STUDENTS ON MONDAY! ONLY A HALF DAY WITH KIDS LEFT!!!! OMG! I'm so over this school year! Can it be done already? As much as I love my 8th grade students, both they and I are ready for them to move on to the high school! Monday they go for an orientation. I've been so stressed out these past 2 weeks that my anxiety med isn't working; I've been needing my Ambien more frequently, and I'm thoroughly exhausted. I got home and took a 2 hour nap. Did the same last Friday. Ugh! On a positive note (and to stop being such a negative Nelly!), I resisted all the sweet treats the kids brought in for their class end of year party...no cupcakes, brownies, soda (at 8:30 am! Blech!), chocolate, chips, etc. When the period was over, I took the extras to the class next door so I wasn't tempted. I even resisted the siren song of free cake in one of our team rooms and cookies baked by one of our resident bakers. I'm sure they were delicious, but I have a goal and my goal is to be down 40lbs by the end of summer. I don't have time for unneeded calories! I've got a lot a activities planned for exercise over the summer: I've signed up for a beginner yoga class. It's 8 classes total, but I can only do 5 due to vacation and a doctor's appointment I can't reschedule. I'm also going to do a boot camp type workout M-W-F starting next Wednesday. Lots of body weight type exercises. I'm looking forward to it! It's going to be tough, but I need a challenge. I'm also going to do a step-circuit class on Tuesdays starting next week. I'm very excited. We'll see how excited I feel after next week! Went to my weigh-in on my new night (stupid swim season messing with my Saturday schedule!) and had a gain of 1.2lbs. I'm ok with it though. It will come off. Happy weekend everyone!
