Our four year old male cat has a problem that caused us to take him to the vet today. He is very good about using the litter box but when he uses it he has started spraying all over . The vet feels he has the beginning of UTI but felt that he also has some sort of a stress or anxiety issue going on. He suggested that we get a Feliway diffuser and spray. This is supposed to relieve the problem. I know we have so many on here that are owned by cats and I was wondering if anyone has used it and if it helped?

Hmmm, I would give it a try. I had a cat who did this spraying, had to get a covered litter box because of it. But always, always had to clean up after him. No UTI or stress, it was just the way he was. He is gone now (lived to be 19), but I would have tried it had someone suggested it. Might have saved some clean up!

I have heard many people say Feliway helped their cats with a variety of issues.

I've used Feliway for a few years now, since my cat got a bit stressed and had a few accidents inside. Hasn't happened since, and I think she's just more relaxed and laid back when I have it plugged in. I read a lot of reviews and generally they're positive. I thought it was at least worth a try because it is all 'natural.'

Did not work for me, but what did work was the collar.

I use the collar version. I bought the Feliway and the diffuser but I was worried about how it might affect my other cat that didn't have anxiety and behavior problems. The collar works great for my cat. I noticed a change in her personality almost immediately. She still acts like herself but a much less frantic version of herself.

We use it and it does help. We have two fixed males who bickered and fought until we got Feliway. We stopped using it (ran out of refills) and the bickering started back up. We bought more refills, plugged them back in, and peace is restored in our household.
Just wish there was something to stop DH and DS bickering.
