That was cool. (Once I got over the massive hoick he did into the spit cup anyway! ) I'd love to get that done one day. I would assume that I'd be mainly from the UK but who knows?

I'd love to get that done one day Why wait? it's only about $100-150 (depending on the company) to get the test done in AU.

I know it's been mentioned on other threads pjaye, but what company do you recommend in Australia?

Sorry - I realise now that wasn't clear, the companies aren't in Australia, they are in the USA, I meant that's how much they cost in Australian dollars. I meant to put "In $AU".
The two main ones are FTDNA (Family Tree DNA) which is the company I used for myself and my mother. The basic "Family Finder" test is $99 USA (about $135 AU depending on the exchange rate at the time). Then there's Ancestry which is $149 AU. This one didn't post their kit to Australia when I did it, but they do now.
From what I've seen the data you get is pretty much in the same format from either company.

Depending on how far back they go, that would probably mean a mix of Celtic, Briton, Germanic and Scandinavian, with some Roman (which is "anywhere from within the Roman Empire") thrown in too.
