I made a batch of marinara sauce today so we're having pesto/marinara pasta, a green salad, and garlic bread. Limoncello cookies for dessert.

I'm not sure as DH has a fundraiser tonight and will be out. The biggest shock is I think both kids will be home, so I have to do something. I was thinking maybe BLTs if I can figure out how to do them on the grill because we are heading into a heat wave and I do not want to heat up anything in the kitchen.

I'm making chicken spaghetti for the second time ever!!!! Darling Son is at work (double shift at Famous Dave's), so it's just me and Dear Husband. Can I cut that recipe in half, or do I have to make a huge vat of chicken spaghetti? ... Nevermind. I never deviate from the recipe; I'll just make a huge batch of the delicious stuff and Enjoy It All Next Week for Lunch!!!

I was going to make spaghetti but when I opened the pantry it was full of ants. So gross! I took almost everything out and srapyed it down. I ended up ordering a pizza. The kitchen counters and stove top are covered with all the goods from the pantry. We've had real problems with these nasty little sugar ants this summer.

Bugs freak me out ... that's the only great thing about living in the Great White North ... there are hardly any bugs

Thanks to FB, I found out that today is National Sushi Day. So we just got back from a Japanese sushi place down the road from our house. Cause hey, you can't argue with made-up national days, right?

leannec, I'm going to see Now you See Me 2 this coming week and can't wait. The first one was so much fun. Though rotten tomatoes gave the sequel a big yuck on the splat-o-meter. Still, enjoy the movie. Have some Milk Duds! I'm making tacos. Whoop-dee-doo.

It's 5:07 and I have no clue haha. It's warm in our house so I don't really feel like cooking. I'm thinking maybe homemade egg mcmuffins OR maybe just cereal with berries.

We had red beans and rice along with cornbread and tomatoes fresh from our garden. Thank goodness we have enough leftover to eat on Monday.

We just got home from the A's game. After eating sausage sandwiches, peanuts and crackerjack at the game I just rounded it off by munching not 1 but 2 trough size bowls of cereal.

I was at a crop from 10:00-10:00. Along with blueswede and other friends. We went out for afternoon tea at 2:30. So for dinner, I just ate the free cheese and crackers and chocolate. Grapes count as a vegetable, right?

I was hungry for beef short ribs. I found a package with 5 in them. I put them in the oven on low and ate them with corn and a baked potato. Fresh pineapple for desert. Delish!

Grapes count as a vegetable, right? Of course they do! And cocoa beans too, so chocolate is a vegetable. (It makes those "5 a day" so much more pleasant)
