I was all excited when DH finally set up the tv in my scraproom with Netflix. Yay! Except, none of the movies I have been on my list to watch are on there. Grrrr So, give me the titles of some good movies that you KNOW you can watch on Netflix. I need something besides Lifetime and daytime showed to watch. Thanks!

I'm currently watching West Wing ... again. Isn't Bloodlines a NetFlix original -- not that I'm necessarily recommending it -- because I don't know how I feel about it ... but it is mostly dislike .... but I think about it.

We watch mostly TV on Netflix but we did like the movie Miss Pettigrew Lives for a Day and Hector and the Search for Happiness, both British.
I noticed when I was checking that last title that they also have Will Smith's Pursuit of Happyness which is good but it is far more about the pursuit of than the actual happiness.

If I'm scrapping, I like to have background noise of a familiar show or movie. They are generally really stupid, funny comedies
A Walk to Remember (yes, I know Nicholas Sparks!,) Girls Just Want To Have Fun Princess Bride Bernie (was an odd, sort of dark comedy. I think you will like or hate it!) Clueless White Chicks Taladega Nights Tommy Boy

The Decoy Bride, especially if you like David Tennant.
I'm watching Criminal Minds right now.
I really liked The Water Horse.
I have a Roku upstairs and one downstairs, and now the one upstairs doesn't let you choose your profile and defaults to Dh's. So when he watches stuff, it skews all the suggestions to what he watches and not mine.
I also watch a lot of Hulu.
I'm really ashamed to admit this because I hate how much profanity is in this show, but Archer is hilarious.

I actually only use Redbox for movies, for the most part. Cheap and always giving codes for discounts! And I can walk to mine if I need to.
Since I gave up cable, it's the only way I watch movies.

Oh if Blue Bloods is on there then I may watch from the beginning. I've seen a few shows here and there and I liked them but I love the one guy character that had been on American Dreams. Was that the name?
I've been watching Hawaii Five-O and am almost finished so I'll be looking for more shows too.

I'm wondering if anyone watches Blue Bloods, should I start watching it? My son loves this show. We have a ritual. I buy a craft beer that we have never had before and we split it. Every Friday night at ten. If my husband is awake we might make decaf tea instead.

Big Stone Gap is nice. I like Ashley Judd. Love blue blood.
If you have amazon prime, I found a lot of movies there yesterday...I always forget about it. I enjoyed A Walk in the Woods, even though I swore I would never watch it because it is so painful to see Robert Redford looking so old. Nick Nolte looks so much worse, it's not so bad.
I'm also enjoying Life (TV series) on Netflix now.

I'm sorry I can't help, I'm frustrated with Netflix too. I heard they are cutting back on their movie selection and going toward more original programming. I'm not very happy about that. I have hulu for TV, plus CBS and HBO subscriptions. I can also watch movies and TV with Amazon prime. I just liked having a bigger movie selection, but it seems like Netflix doesn't have any that I can't get on hulu or amazon now. I don't watch any of the original programming on Netflix anyway, so I wouldn't miss it if I cancelled. So far I've liked hulu's original programming better. DS likes the selection of documentaries, so I'll keep it a while longer for his sake. I think they are going to lose my business eventually.

I am a closet fan of cheesy disaster movies and Netflix is good for that. Meteors flying, volcanoes blasting, aliens landing, killer tornadoes, raging ice storms...rarely are they good, but I will watch them anyway.

Do you like documentaries at all? I can give you tons of those. As far as movies go I'd have to look at my list. Do you like Fox family movies? I have a few more suggestions with those (comedies). Most of what I watch is clean tv. I'd you liked Boy Meets World you may love Girl Meets World. It's fluffy and heartwarming. I also love Baby Daddy and Young and Hungry. Those are both comedy series though too.
