Are there any postcard collecting Peas? I started cleaning out yesterday and was surprised by the number of postcards I have received from others.
How did you get started in postcard collecting? How do you store your postcards? What are your favorite themes? Do you have any tips about collecting postcards?

I do! I collect them from places I have been, and I even buy antique ones from places I have been. I especially like antique postcards of my hometown. I store them in bins, but a few I have framed and on the wall. I started collecting because right after I met my now DH, he was going on a long trip and started sending me a postcard from each stop. It was sweet.

Do you preserve them in plastic sleeves? How do you organize them?

Most of mine are in plastic bins, organized by location. I don't have a huge collection. Maybe a couple thousand. Some of them I have used in scrapbooks because I couldn't get a great photo of the place while I was there, and you usually don't find better pictures than on a postcard.
I think I have four framed, although we just moved and I don't have them on the wall yet. I need to find them and hang them up.
