Hey everyone! Well, it's Father's Day so I guess I have to cook Dh and I will be going clothing shopping for him (he has a bunch of gift cards from a men's store to use including one he was given today) before we hit Costco ... After that I'm going to want to do something easy so we're having ribs in a tangy sauce (that I buy frozen from a local place and just pop in the oven) ... I'll serve them with mashed potatoes and tossed salad with homemade vinaigrette dressing For dessert there is a Father's Day DQ ice cream cake that says "#1 DAD" What's on your menu tonight?

Sounds like a really nice Father's Day leannec. What flavor is the ice cream cake? Enquiring non-eaters who live vicariously through others need to know. It's completely up to to dh, but I'm thinking chicken w/peas, rice and scallions. We'll see what he says.

Bacon seems to be the theme here today! We had box on and eggs for breakfast, and we're having BLTs for lunch.
Dinner is going to be grilled salmon, squash ribbons, with a tbd grain. I think I'm going to make a cornmeal blackberry cake for dessert.

I'm grilling New York strip steaks with grilled veggies and a fruit salad. DS bought Magnum ice cream bars for dessert. DH is having his ideal day ~ watching the US Open (golf), the Giants and in the evening, our Golden State Warriors will battle it out with the Cleveland Cavaliers in the NBA final championship game. It *should* be the perfect day.

Saltines. Day three of what my friend calls 'bubble tummy.' Life is not fun at the anxious household. I could have gone to my parents house for Father's Day, but I am guessing that the possibility of gastro-intestinal issues is not the kind of gift my dad had in mind.

We're having something in a bun (Italian beef, sloppy joes, buffalo chicken, etc.) and a pasta side from a package. Not a great Father's Day meal, but it's a meal. <shrug>

Not Father's Day here (it's sometime in the autumn, I think.) dinner was steak and hasselback potatoes with peas and carrots, and strawberries with cream for dessert.

Of all the things that don't kill you, that is probably the worst thing! I hope you feel better soon.

I'm grilling porterhouse steaks (dh's choice) and we're having boiled potatoes and a big salad with them. We're eating in about 20 minutes!

I'm really not sure what is for dinner. DH and DD are out enjoying their half of Father's Day before she goes to work this afternoon, but which time DS will be home from work and gets to hang out with DH for the rest of the afternoon/evening. Assuming they want to be fed, I might pick up some lamp chops to grill with lemon potatoes and corn along with a Greek salad.

The father of the house loves Mac and cheese with broccoli so that's what will be on his plate.

I made "real" spaghetti sauce today. It was on the stove for several hours. Smells so good. I also made bread and a chocolate pie. Maybe this will last a few days and I won't have to cook for awhile hahaha. Thanks for the thread. Hope you feel better now anxiousmom .

I made a beef and pepper skillet dish for DH. It's basically stuffed peppers but made in a cast iron skillet. It was well received; he just told me, this is about the very best thing you make. Despite the thumbs-up review, I chose to have yogurt and blueberries. We both enjoyed our dinners.

Like Curry's steal in game 6... Come on! My boys are super excited to watch the game. The 4 year old is the loudest of all haha!

I had planned on a nice scallop dinner but we had a very relaxing day and dh and I decided to have sandwiches. So Tuna Fish on Toast and Fruit.
Somedays, nothing tastes better than tuna.

No dad dinner here. DH went and cooked his dad breakfast. The two of us are having grilled pork sausage kabobs, corn on the cob, roasted taters, and leftover paleo chocolate pie that a friend made.
