Months ago there was a thread and a Pea told her opinion then said she had to go drink some apple cider vinegar. I meant to make note and PM her but forgot. I've read the articles about possible health benefits but would like to discuss if anyone uses it and how ~ do you dilute it in water, drink a small amount full strength, etc.

I don't use it for health benefits specifically but I think it makes great salad dressing, just sub it in for whatever vinegar is called for except balsamic, you can try it too, but it replaced red wine vinegar and white vinegar just fine in recipes

I go through stretches where I do this. I put a Tbsp in a large glass of water. If I do it with less water my throat is irritated. I don't really know if it makes a difference in my health. My sister is convinced it's good for her knee pain and minor skin irritations.

I was experiencing sinus issues I'm sure if I measured my ph it would be in the acid range because I just felt like I ate too many acidic foods. Boyfriend recently resupplied our apple cider vinegar bottle to soak his foot in hoping to get his ingrown toe nail to come out.
So I took a tablespoon of that. ( I get Bragg organic apple cider vinegar with MOM ) Boyfriend can take it straight up but I need to dilute it. I took the tablespoon and went over to drink my water so I could swallow it. I felt opened up again. I see it as one of nature's medicines.

So it would have made your ph (although I'm not sure which bodily fluid you are referring to) even more acidic, rather than somehow balancing it.

Some alternative health proponents claim that drinking vinegar water can change the pH of your body, making it more alkaline. They say an alkaline pH is better and promotes health and balance, whereas acidity leads to metabolic imbalance and illness. **However, medical science shows there is little truth to this idea.** The Effect of Vinegar Water on Your Body's pH Any food or drink -- including vinegar water -- has a particular pH by itself. I take 2 TBSP daily with 32 oz water 2 pkts of Truvia and some ginger - In the summer I usually end up doing 2 of these drinks - I have probably been doing this for 2plus years now and love love love it. ACV has great benefits - Also sure to buy the bottle with "the mother" Braggs is the best choice.
You don't ever want to drink ACV by itself - I've heard it can damage liver and kidneys

I attempted to "drink it for health". But thinking of it stripping the last enamel off my middle-aged teeth wasn't worth it.
I went back to using it to remove mineral deposits on my faucet.

Cider vinegar + water = vinegar water. The article clearly states that drinking vinegar water OR ANYTHING ELSE does nothing to your body's ph. The article you linked makes absolutely no mention of the ph new age not-supported-by-actual-science claims you made in your first and second posts. I do think that cider vinegar does help people in terms of the livestrong article you just linked, but not any of the mumbo jumbo you originally claimed. I actually drink it myself from time to time because it seems to help my digestion.

I disagree that eating or drinking anything won't change your ph level. I'm trying to add more alkaline foods to my day so I can have more energy and decrease inflammation. I do believe that it takes more than the foods you eat or drink to do this though. If you are stressed when you eat alkaline foods then I believe it's possible that they can turn acidic when in the body. I read in a book about that with a silly title: Alkalize or Die And I don't know what statement was in my first 2 posts that had anything to do with new age.

You go right on believing it, even if medical science doesn't back it. The placebo effect is real and works for some.

My sister does a shot of it every day. I'm not exactly sure why though. I keep thinking I might try it but then I forget.
