I have been a member of Weight Watchers, but I just cancelled my subscription do to my summer schedule and not being able to make weekly meetings. I still have a little weight I'd like to lose, and I'm looking at different online calorie trackers. Which one do you use, and why do you like it? Right now I'm looking at MyFitnessPal and SparkPeople, but I'm open to any others that you would recommend. Thanks! !

I've used My Fitness Pal for years. I personally prefer it to SparkPeople.
The MFP app is great but you can choose to log on your phone or your desktop. Really helps keep me in check to track this way.

I've used both SparkPeople and MFP, both on the computer. While I prefer the look and feel of SP as well as their goal tracking, the food choices available in the database are much better with MFP. My solution has been to track my daily food with MFP, but track my weight/measurements/goals with SP.

You can do weight watchers strictly online if you prefer counting points vs. calories. It's only $19.95 a month to do it that way. I was doing WW online and actually really loved their new points tracker. But with money being tight and vacation coming up in a few weeks, I decided to do a way with the monthly fee right now and cancelled my subscription. I joined My Fitness Pal and honestly I'm loving it. I hate tracking calories and would much rather count points, but I find their website to be similar to weight watchers in how it works.

MFP. Love it. Intuitive, user friendly, accurate.

I've used both sparkpeople and my fitness pal and I like my fitness pal better, especially the app with MFP

I've used My Fitness Pal and currently use LoseIt. I use the phone and iPad apps but there are desktop versions that you can use (which sync to your phone if you want). They are very similar in function and content and both have been effective for me. You can also link activity trackers to the apps if that appeals to you.

I LOVE the WW app - I have always been an online only member. I've used My Fitness Pal too and I like it, but WW seems simpler for me right now. If you're already used to the WW program and it's working for you, it might be worth it to just stick with that?

Thank you all, I love it when the peas agree! I LOVE the WW app - I have always been an online only member. I've used My Fitness Pal too and I like it, but WW seems simpler for me right now. If you're already used to the WW program and it's working for you, it might be worth it to just stick with that? I like Weight Watchers the best for the meetings, if I'm not able to go to the meetings, I'd much rather use a free online tracker. For me, converting to points was always a little cumbersome, so I think keeping track of calories, carbs, and protein, might be easier for me.

I use both, just got back into spark people after 10 years... I find the food tracking is better with MFP, but I like the articles and exercises in SP.

I like MyFitnessPal. The food list is gigantic, rarely is one not in there.
