My just-turned-11-year-old niece has spent a week with us and I swear she needs someone following her 24/7 with a dustbuster, paper towels, clorox wipes, a broom, a mop....! She's grown 2 1/2 inches in the past six months, so maybe she's just not used to her new body, but sheesh! I don't remember my other nieces and nephews being this clumsy at this age. I love her to death, though. She's awesome. So funny and smart and creative--and messy!

LOL. That's great. I think it may be the age! We are living this, too. We have to tell her to clean up after herself ALL. THE. TIME.

I have 2 that age...and yes. Oh my dear Lord, yes. I have one that is GREAT about cleaning up after herself when she makes the mess...and the other one that *thinks* she's cleaning up but she really isn't. LOL

When she tries to clean up her mess--which she's really good about trying--she ends up making a bigger mess! No stink, though, she uses her deo religiously. Save

My niece at that age had clown feet--always tripping over nothing! We used to say that she thought she was a graceful gazelle in the body of a rhinoceros!!!

My 16 DD is like that. It's truly amazing to watch her walk from one room to the other and see the trail of destruction she leaves behind. I don't know how she does it really.

I taught that age and didn't think so, but maybe since I had thirty of them every year, they all were that way. It is my favorite age though.

Ha! My oldest grew about six inches during 6th grade and went through an extremely klutzy phase. We had to take her off dish washing duty because I wasn't going to have any plates or glasses left.

Yes! I have an 11-yo boy. He is exactly the same way... sweet as they come, but that boy is like the Tasmanian Devil! He's a swirling vortex of unintentional mess!

DD (8) always goes through a clumsy phase after a growth spurt. Y'all aren't giving me much hope for the future 😜

Yes! Mine is! Add getting 16 different dishes out per day for various drinks and snacks and then leaving them wherever she dang well pleases and that's my 11 yo!
