I will never change my avatar here. It's a few years old, but I'm sticking with it. Your avatar always makes me feel happy. I wish you would post more often. Ha! Thank you, that's very kind of you to say that. I would if I had something interesting to say. My posts would be more of the same. Here I am running. Here is my one second everyday movie for this month. Nothing new. I'm looking for a sponsor, so if I get one, I'll post that.

Haha, if only I was smart enough to figure out how to post a picture! I tried once, but it was too big and I didn't know how to make it smaller. I am at a 5 yr. old level when it comes to figuring out this stuff!

I picked my avatar because I thought I looked conversational, like my head is leaned in and I'm listening! But lately when I've seen it, I'm kinda getting a bitchy resting face vibe. But I'm not changing it because I look DAMN good

I'm lost when posters change their avatars. So, don't change them if they have been the same for months. Including, creepy man/baby. LOL!

I usually only think about mine. Like maybe I should change it, but then I forget or I remember that some are so familiar and I would be lost if they changed, so mine stays the same.

I'm on an iPad most of the time, so I read with avatars and signatures off, and never think about it. So, I've uploaded a pic of our golf car riding cat.

I admit that I don't always put the avatar and name together. Well, except for TankTop and that's in a well, creepy odd sort of way. My avatar, or should I say, lack of avatar, is because every time an avatar conversation comes up on the board, I seem to be posting from my Kindle Fire, which doesn't want to cooperate with changing my avatar. In fact, it has glitched so many times when I've tried to change it and I ended up with nothing, I finally just gave up. On one of the threads about changing avatars a while back, someone mentioned that since my name was "Restless Spirit" they thought it was appropriate that my avatar seem to have wandered off. So "nothing" has been my avatar for quite some time now. One of these days I'll take the time and effort and post from my MacBook and finally have a real avatar.

I usually identify a poster by their avatar, not their name (visual learner!). Here are just some of my random thoughts: *I always think "Laura Dern" (the actress) when I see the avatar for @formerlytravelagent . Pretty! *TankTop's avatar creeps me out... but I love her posts so always read them! *The avatar for @ihavetoomuchstuff looks like a high school classmate. I've lost track of her but she was really nice. * Katie looks like one of my favorite lab technicians at work. What do YOU think when you see someone's avatar? My avatar is 6 years old and I look quite different now, but everyone always says 'don't go changing avatars' because that's how they remember people. So, it's staying. I had no idea we could turn avatars off! I will have to do that when I'm at work!!

I have debated changing mine from time to time, but I am sort of attached to his ugly self. Don't change it!! I'm totally lost when people change their user names or avatars. I'll read their post with new avatar and think, "Hmmm, they talk a lot like (their old username/avatar)...." And it takes me awhile before I connect that they are the same pea.

Your avatar always makes me feel happy. I wish you would post more often. I concur! Oh, Sharlag, you are another avatar that's on my radar. When I see yours, I think you look a little bit like Rita Wilson (Tom Hank's wife) but more like another actress.... 'just haven't figure out who yet. (Boy do I sound stalkerish and creepy. Really, I'm just a normal person!)

I have the same response to the cartoon people avatars wearing sunglasses as I do to real human beings wearing sunglasses: I want to say, "Take those damn things off so I can see your eyes when you talk to me!"
Yes, I crave eye contact with a drawing. Weird, but true.
(This from the woman who wears the same underwear day after day…)

I get a little freaked out by the ladies who have guys for their avatar...messes with my head and I'm not sure if I'm in an alternate universe for a little while.

Sorry ladies - I change mine often. I get bored with the same ol' one. But I do try to keep it a pic of me so that y'all can see that it's me. Like a lot of others, I do tend to remember people by their avatars!
