Spongebob the Musical
No, I'm not kidding. Not insane. Not drunk.
Best damn show ever.
It's in chicago now for a short run before moving to Broadway.

I'm not sure about SpongeBob, but one of my favorite shows was Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory musical. It was awesome

Oh my goodness, my nieces would love it! We were just talking this weekend about taking them to a Broadway show!

Shut the front door. We are Spongebob fanatics around here...It's like a dream come true!
I was so disappointed by the second movie...good to hear this show is a winner! Broadway-here we come!
TFS! Erin

I am glad you liked it ... It opened to mixed reviews.. but I heard they were tweaking it.
I can not imagine, I'm not a fan of SBSP but odder things have made its way to Broadway.

My husband's Aunt took myself and my kids to see Shrek the Musical in Oakland. It was so funny.

Sigh, I love Sponge Bob... my family doesn't share this love. I hope the show does well and travels. Thanks for putting it on my radar!

My dd and her fiance' saw it and really liked it. Windy City Live had a snippet and the critic said it will go to Broadway and one of the main characters should get a Tony for his performance (can't remember which one).

Not to give anything away, but he has a performance at the end that makes you realize how damn talented that actor really is, and it makes you laugh, smile and cry the entire time.

Is mayonnaise an instrument?
Spongebob is really fun stuff. I'll on the lookout for the reviews once it hits Broadway.

Yes, it was Squidward. I know nothing about Sponge Bob, and neither did dd and her fiance', but they really enjoyed it regardless.

I can see that there could be different audiences. I do love SpongeBob and we saw both movies on the day they opened. I would enjoy the musical. I would probably get a lot more out of Hamilton though. Having taught that time in history for almost 30 years, it would be quite impressive.

I wish I could go see it.
It's advertised on Nick all the time.
And I love Squidward. I am Squidward, LOL.

I've been thinking about taking my son but thought it would be not so great. Hmmm, I may need to rethink. He would probably enjoy it.
