Wow! I only listened to the podcast and it was left so open, I wasn't sure what to think about the case.

The stitcher app on my android phone is confusing. I can't seem to find anything interesting.

I was just coming to post about this.
I think this is good, and I predict on his next trial they will find him not guilty.

I'm glad for Adnan. I didn't listen to all of Undisclosed. What's the thought on who DID kill her, if not Adnan?

I think Adnan's friend who testified against him knows a lot more about what went down than he said at the trial. I forget the friend's name, but his story just didn't add up, imho.

I thought it interesting that he refused to talk to the lawyers trying to get a new trial for Adnan, but other friends and classmates were willing to.

I don't know if Adnan is guilty but he clearly deserved a new trial so I was happy to see this.

So happy to hear this. After watching several docs on Adnan's story and reading the transcripts of the trial, I feel pretty sure of his innocence and I hope this new trial exonerates him. That Jay guy absolutely knows more than he's letting on and his refusal to cooperate is very telling.

I only listened to Serial, and base my opinion solely on that. But it was obvious to me he did not get a fair trial. I can't honestly decide whether I think he is guilty, but he deserves a new trial for sure. And Jay needs to be investigated, because that kid knew way too much about everything to not be more involved.
Also; I encourage you to watch the scripted HBO-show that is coming out this summer called The Night Of. It seems to be a show highly influenced by actual cases like Adnan's. Should be fun. First episode was good.

I agree with this. I'm glad he's getting a new trial. I want so badly to believe he's not guilty, just because I found him very likeable on the Serial podcast, but I'm really not sure.

Maryland announced it will appeal this decision. I think the state has little choice because IMO, they will never proceed with another trial. The entire case was based on Jay and the cell phone tower pings. Jay is no longer a credible or reliable witness and the new evidence re. the pings destroys that avenue as well.

It was interesting to hear how Adnan's lawyer didn't really pay attention to some evidence/witness statements about the timeline that could have helped during the trial. And that her health and mental faculties weren't up to par throughout the trials. But she and the detectives have passed away by now, so there's so information lost that can never be looked at with today's technology.

Personally, I suspect he's guilty, but I understand the argument for a new trial. There's a difference between innocent and not guilty. And while I also suspect that Jay is a bit more involved than he claimed, I could also believe his story that he "only" helped with the burial and car, which is bad enough. (But he did come forward voluntarily.) Regardless, I don't understand why people criticize him so much for not wanting to get involved in the podcast or the appeal, especially with crazy-internet-detective people hounding/accusing him 20 years after he made a deal and thought this phase of his life was over.
(It sort of reminds me of all the Redditors who criticize the victim's family from "Making a Murderer" because they "refused" to be interviewed for the documentary. No, they declined - as would I. Doesn't mean they're covering up anything; probably just means they don't want to re-live the case and/or they didn't trust the student filmmakers.)
I agree that we will probably never see a new trial, even if the state loses their appeal-appeal.
