...was absolutely freaking perfect. Dh and I left the house before 6am, I dropped him off at work by 7 and was to the beach before 8:30. I took a nice walk/jog along the beach and it was amazing. When I got back, I switched into my bathing suit and plopped my butt down in my chair and had my beach blanket laid out next to my chair. I sat there for hours...like 4-5 hours. I'd get up and do some walking at the waters edge (just enough to get my feet wet - HOLY CRAP it was cold) every hour or so. It was perfect weather...80 or so, sunny, nice breeze after 11am. No kids to watch after, no disputes to break up, no whining. It.Was.AWESOME. The only down side? Even with several reapplies of sunscreen, the backs of my legs got burned in 2 strips...as well as a strip on my back. No one to help apply sunscreen = missed places. LOL Oh well, I'll live and it was TOTALLY worth it. Then I drove back to dh's work, picked him up and we hit our favorite Mexican restaurant for dinner. One of my best days ever...thanks for all the kind words yesterday!! I thought of all you Rpeas while I was there!

I wish I lived close enough to the beach to do this! It's five hours away. But I'm glad you had such a relaxing time!

Love, love, love! Enjoy your time alone and with your dh. The beach is such a dreamy place it is my favorite place to be. Dh and I are seriously considering finding a small place to buy in Maine once the kids have grown. We LOVE it there...it just recharges the soul.

Sounds like a fantastic day. We all need these days at a relaxing spot every now and then. I hope you'll treat yourself to this more often. Perhaps a spray sunscreen will help you get to the hard-to-reach places.

LOL I need to buy a second bottle!!

Maine would be nice, in theory I'd like to live on Cape Cod, but I don't think I could handle summers and tourist season there. The Connecticut coast is really pretty too. I just want to live on the ocean!!

SOOOO jealous, Brandy! I am gearing up to spend some time at the beach soon, too.....but mine involves being lifeguard to two kids! Not nearly as awesome!
When I saw your thread title I was like, "Please let it have been perfect. Please let it have been perfect." I don't even *know* you and I want you to have a great day so I can live vicariously through you!
Glad you had such a great day!
