I am looking to distract myself this weekend and wondered if you play hidden object games and if there is one you love?
Thank you

I played one forever. I think it was called secret society. You can play a LOT without spending anything. If you spend .99 you can play for ages.

Under strategy games you will find a hidden stories game. Hope you enjoy the game. There are quite a few good games on the site including "scrapbook detective" also in the strategy game section. I read your other post about Tuesday and hope everything turns out well. ETA: I don't think the link worked so I have included the address. www.royalgames.com/signup.jsp?redirect=true&language=en_US

I use the Big Fish web site. I used to be a member but now I just download the trials and play for up to 90 minutes free on each game. There haven't been many I like enough to buy at the moment! My favourite games here are the Ravenhearst series, Redemption Cemetery ones and the Puppet Show ones. All a bit spooky and off the wall but I enjoy them.

What device are you going to be playing on? iPad, iPhone, Kindle, android or computer? Or other?
I mostly play on an iPad mini or Kindle Fire (my phone is way too small for HOGs.
I don't play on my MacBook, so I can't help there.
IPad games with mystery story line, Hidden Object (HOGs), character interaction. Suspense, but not too scary:
Midnight Mystery series:
- Witches of Abraham Lincoln - Devil on the Mississippi (Mark Twain) - Haunted Houdini - The Edgar Allan Poe Conspiracy
Flux Family Secrets (1,2, & 3):
- The Ripple Effect - The Rabbit Hole - The Book of Oracles
The Dana Knightstone Series:
- Death at Fairing Point - Death Under Tuscan Skies - Death Upon an Austrian Sonata - Death at Cape Porto - Death and Betrayal in Romania
Fun, easy and light-hearted:
Murder She Wrote 1 & 2
Love Story:
Love Story: The Beach Cottage Love Story: Letters from the Past

If you're playing on an IPad, the Azada games are awesome. I think there are three.

I second Big Fish. I used to play a ton on there. I have a collection for my laptop too on DVDs.

Pearl's peril. I've been playing forever. I'm going to give that one a try for my iPad. The reviews are all over the place, but I really like the games that have a story. Thanks!

Big Fish's Empress of the Deep and Hidden Expedition series were my favorites!

Another vote for Big Fish, but only if you're on a desk top or lap top, I don't think the apps are as good. As someone else said, you can download the trial version of each game and play for 60 minutes. There is also a first time customer deal for $2.99 I think. And, I'm sure they have a sale going on this weekend.
I also really like their Time Management games. Emily, Build-a-Lot, Road to Rome (something like that) are all good.

I love HOPA (Hidden Object Puzzle Adventure) games, but I'm cheap, so I wait till they're free on Apps Gone Free, then I get them... I'm also a little biased, because my daughter and I have provided voices for many of the games (mostly Big Fish), so it's doubly fun to play them AND hear scenes that we voiced... I also really like the puzzle adventure games from Lone Wolf (Blackthorn Castle, Lost Ship, etc) -- there are no hidden object puzzles, you just wander around, finding clues that will solve puzzles in other areas. Kind of like a very simplistic Myst.

Criminal Case is good and free (you have to wait to recharge, but the wait isn't bad).
I also like Big Fish, but haven't paid for a game from them in years.
