Summer produce!! Sweet corn, cherries, blueberries, watermelon..I can't get enough!! Getting organized. I'm cleaning out cabinets and rearranging and trying to declutter! The swing out back that my dad put up this week. He made DH and I a swing for our wedding and we hung it under the tree we got married under. It has our last name engraved in it.

2. Having no plans this weekend beyond drinking wine and watching Netflix.
3. Summer! I love the free evenings and more time with my girlies.

My succulents... I bought some small plants and am propagating from those and they're all happy and healthy. I call the propagation "my little babies".
My new job, I finally fulfilled my dream of becoming a NICU nurse and while the hours are tough, the learning curve is steep, I am just loving caring for the tiny humans.
We just got a pool pass for our neighborhood pool and it's been great being able to go whenever we want, even if it's just for a quick dip or a few laps.

Planning for our first cruise in October. We've had so much fun watching Youtube videos, reading reviews, and deciding what to do while we're on the Disney Dream. We've not even stepped on board, and I'll bet DH can tell you what deck everything is on, how big our room will be, etc. He's all about the planning, and I love going along for the ride.
Picking tomatoes and zucchini from our garden almost every day. It feels so satisfying to know we've grown it ourselves. I love giving our excess to friends and neighbors.
French press coffee! I got DH a stainless steel press to take camping, but he's been using it nearly every day to make our morning coffee. We sit and chat while it brews, a little ritual I am loving!

-Watching the irrigation system slowly turn the bottom of the horse pasture from brown and crispy to a lush, green wonderland. It's noticeably cooler and just smells good.
-HBO Go. Love being able to watch movies and series from HBO on my own schedule.
-Vigoss brand denim. It's cute and great quality but the thing I love the most is the fit. There's a little notch cut out of the back so it doesn't gap and the denim has just the right amount of stretch added. Light weight and comfortable! Gives me the look of the Miss Me jeans I love so much at a better price and they are much more comfortable. I can not say enough good things about the brand.

1. I love that I get to take care of my almost 2 year old grandson every weekday. He makes me laugh every day! And the snuggles after nap are a Grammy bonus.
2. I love that my DD calls me every day to tell me how her pregnancy is going...grandson #2 appears Oct 1!
3. I love that I live in Texas. I'll take the summer heat anytime over icy roads in February.

I love my sherpa blanket from Costco- it has a velvety side and a sheepy side. I love my A/C in this hot and humid weather that allows me to enjoy said sherpa blanket. I'm also loving my Blue Apron meals. It's so easy to have tasty food three nights a week; meals that are different from our usual fare. I love not having to shop for a week's worth of food, or deal with too much food that goes to waste. I bought one of those blankets for me and then immediately bought one for all three dds for Christmas. Everyone loves them!

The rain that finally came yesterday, and more today. The begonias in my front porch planters are also loving the rain. I still have six weeks off before going back to school.

1. Iced Black tea Lemonde from Starbucks. I don't care for their coffee so it's nice to have a drink I like for summer
2. White Mountain puzzles - I never used to do puzzles but I am enjoying these puzzles - relaxing, just the right amount of challenge for me and fun to work on with family
3. Tampons! I was never able to wear them before - couldn't make them work - but I finally figured it out and loving it! Of course I need to also use a giant pad at the same time because of aging and heavy periods but thank goodness I have double coverage now!

I always feel like an idiot when women talk about tampons because I cannot get them to work for me. Plus I had a couple of bad experiences years ago (dr thought I was allergic to the bleaches or something in the tampons, I would shake and almost pass out when using them) so I'm still scared of them a bit.

1. I've had the opportunity to declutter and clean out closets and drawers the last few days. I'm really enjoying how nice it all looks and each clean surface inspires me to do another area. 2. The great deal I got at Chicos on a blouse and a long knit top for $37. (sale and coupon) 3. Polishing my nails. I haven't done my fingernails in 15 years until starting back in May.

1. Ginger beer. How did I go 37 years without having it? I've had it in other drinks but never on its own. It's the best. Love me some ginger beer.
2. Hiking. I'm leaving in a few days for my hiking trip. It's gonna be awesome to have that much time alone and away from everything.
3. clothes shopping. I've lost a ton of weight, and buying clothes has become so much more fun. I just bought some medium dresses, and a couple of the shirts I bought yesterday were small. It's crazy.

1. Chocolate Banana tea DH ordered for me (he hates banana so truly just for me)
2. My neighborhood - growing up I lived in apartments and in a house on a few acresbut never in a subdivision. I am loving what this gives my kids - summer swim team, friends across the street and ridin in the 4th of July parade/party.
3. We started a small group with several other families from our church this Fall and it has been so nice. We have had several social outings and the kids came to DD's birthday party. It's so nice to be building a social circle after moving away from our friends and families. We've been here 4 years this August and we finally are beginning to belong.

They are just tips I've read but was finally able to apply to myself and have them work. The most important is that sucker's gotta be really up there! I wasn't putting it in high enough. So I was having issues at work so I needed to figure it out for double Coverage so I just put it In As good as I could and I felt it. Gradually I got use to the process and was comfortable enough to to really get it up there in the correct positioning so I didn't feel it anymore. also, every woman is different and you kind of need to learn to angle it right. So basically I just started using them out of desperation and learned along the way to use them correctly for me.

AC. Even though it's not really hot here in my area it gets warm when I'm outside working so I appreciate the AC.
Flip flops. I hate closed toe shoes and would wear them all the time if weather permitted it.
Netflix.

My car - new to me used convertible. I love driving top down in the sunshine. Flowers - every week I have new, beautiful flowers blooming. We moved last summer so I really don't know what we have in the gardens. Trees - I discovered that I have three dogwood trees. The arborist is moving them so that they can grow better and be seen. Next spring I will be expecting the blooms instead of missing them.

3 - Salad with a chopped up hamburger, an ounce of cheese and taco sauce on top. It's super low calorie, filling and it my favorite summer meal right now. I've eaten the last 2 nights for dinner and I'mm having it again tonight. Whenever we have hamburgers for dinner, I always chop mine up and put it on a salad. I don't really like bread, so never put it on a bun at home. I don't add the taco sauce though. I add diced mangoes (I keep the Del Monte cups on hand so I can just drain one and dump it on), pumpkin seeds, sometimes dried cranberries and a little bit of flavored olive oil. Right now I have blood orange infused. Now I'm hungry!

1. Right now I'm loving laying next to my sleeping 10 month old listening to her breathe. So peaceful. 2. Loved playing games today with my DH and other kids. We were laughing a lot and having a great time. With my oldest heading into her senior year and now looking at colleges I know these days are fleeting. 3. Some of the drapes I've ordered for our new house from pottery barn teen and west elm. Cannot wait to have them hung when we move in!

I love having my Dd home from China! She's home for the summer and I am spending every minute I can with her before she goes back to college next month.
My garden - I started everything from seed and it's doing remarkably well.
My DD's iPad Air - my iPad is so old it's having a lot of problems and shuts down frequently. DD loaned me hers to try and see if I like the smaller size and lighter case. I do!

1) Spending a perfect, lazy summer day with DH and DD with no real agenda 2) Having our good friends come out to our cabin and spending a sunny afternoon floating in the lake under a crystal clear sky 3) Watching the town fireworks being shot off over the lake. Life is good!
