One of my favorite podcast (Happy Hour with Jamie Ivey) ends each podcast with asking her guest 3 things they are loving right now. It is totally random and can be anything.
I thought it would be fun here. I always learn from it and enjoy hearing what others are loving.
3 things I am loving right now....
1. Podcast. I have good friends and connection but I probably crave more than daily life allows especially during the summer. My favorite podcast for those that are interested are the one I mentioned Happy Hour with Jamie Ivey, The Simple Show, Keeping up with the Joneses and Inspired to Action. I subscribe to several others but those are my favorites.
2. Summer. Usually summer isn't my favorite time of year and probably my least favorite season. Where I live the heat is intense (90-100's at least 3 months solid) and there is too much concrete overall. Summer brings long days and seeking ways to fill it can be challenging. This year we moved and my son lost bus service so about 4 months of his school year brought 3-4 hours of driving each day. He also has a job which we are hugely grateful for but his job isn't close to our home. It is worth the drive and isn't all that far but during school the drive with school and his job it really added up. When summer arrived I was never so glad for school to end. It is the first summer my middle son has a job and that is a great outlet for him. We live 5 minutes from the bowling alley and he goes often. We got summer passes so both of our boys can do 3 games each day. We belong to our city rec center and have indoor and outdoor swimming, inside basketball courts, a great track and classes galore. We are loving the change of pace.
3. Elume Make up cloth remover. Seriously the bomb. I have used the make up remover wipes in the past, liquid make up remover from Target and numerous other things. I was tired of the waste and was looking online options and I found these and ordered it. It removed my eye make up, cleans my face and I can use it 2-3 times before washing it, easily. It comes out 100% clean with no stains from the wash and now I bought another set so I have enough to last a good week or so. I had tried the Norwex ones and I love their body ones but I hated the texture of the face ones and they didn't clean my eye make up off as well as this cloth does. Amazon sells them but they were out of stock once I went to reorder so I ordered directly from the company and they don't charge shipping. It took a few days longer but was worth it.

I love my sherpa blanket from Costco- it has a velvety side and a sheepy side.
I love my A/C in this hot and humid weather that allows me to enjoy said sherpa blanket.
I'm also loving my Blue Apron meals. It's so easy to have tasty food three nights a week; meals that are different from our usual fare. I love not having to shop for a week's worth of food, or deal with too much food that goes to waste.

1. Our beautiful summer weather. Literally we've had weeks of sunny days with moderate temps (high 70s, low 80s) and low humidity.
2. Fireflies. We've let half our backyard turn into a meadow and we get so many more of them now.
3. Trader Joe's Cowboy Salsa.

-I am loving the pics my daughter is sending home from her semester in Italy/ tour of Europe. She is on the trip of a lifetime and really seems to be having a great time
-this message board! I joined the day after it was started and dropped the ball along the way. I was on vacation the past week and 're-found' it. It was like coming home....if there is such a place as home on the Internet
-my new 'used' kitty-Henry Winkler. A friend had to get rid of him because her son developed a terrible allergy and I completely did not want a cat. I don't know what the heck I was thinking.....I adore my noodle cat

1. My new Lularoe leggings. I didn't buy into the hype until I actually felt a pair of my daughter's. They are way comfiest than my beloved yoga pants. They are so comfy it's almost like not wearing pants at all!
2. Being home for the summer. I'm totally enjoying hanging out with my kid and my pups and just being lazy.
3. The delicious lemon bars and peanut butter bars I have in my fridge right now.

Oh I love this thread!! 1 - SUMMER! It used to be that we'd have periods of down time throughout the year (the summer, even with the start of school we had down time from August until Nov, then again from January until May) but since the girls started soccer a couple of years ago and dh started coaching, the ONLY down time we get is the summer. It has been a CONSTANT state of busy for the last 9 months. I have never in my life been so glad to have summer vacation roll around. Our club doesn't offer summer soccer so we truly get the summer off. The weather has been awesome and the last couple of weeks, other than a couple of appts, we haven't done much of anything! 2 - DRESSES! I have never been a dress wearer mostly because at the much higher weights, I didn't feel feminine at all. I felt like a big lump of ick. I have 40 lbs to reach my next big goal and I'm finding that I'm REALLY loving wearing dresses. I've had a few maxi dresses for a few years but nothing shorter. I've bought 2 shorter skirts (like just above knee length) and 4 dresses (same length) in the last couple of weeks and LOVING it. 3 - Salad with a chopped up hamburger, an ounce of cheese and taco sauce on top. It's super low calorie, filling and it my favorite summer meal right now. I've eaten the last 2 nights for dinner and I'mm having it again tonight.

1. Our gorgeous cooler weather today. Really low humidity so we even have the windows and doors opened. I'm VERY appreciative of our AC but I love the "real" air more.
2. Querkles Querkles coloring books -- I bought one of these (there are three or four I think) when I was searching around for some things to occupy dd while she recovers from surgery. I actually bought two of the one book so we could do them together. They are so much fun! If you like coloring take a look at these. 3. The Peruvian chicken I just had for lunch (leftover from last night's take-out).

Today, i'm enjoying: 1. Weather that is allowing for the windows to be open instead of a/c on. 2. Sleeping puppies - they are worn out from yesterday's festivities. 3. Parenthood on Netflix - i'm about to sit down and spend the rest of my day watching, lol. I have to add a 4th - 4 kids out of the house means no need to cook dinner

The weather we have had for the past few days has been wonderful! All of our windows have been open for 3 days!! Biking in the early morning with my dh or a bf. We've been doing about 30 miles through the forest preserve. The wildflowers are beautiful and the deer are amazing. Spending time with good friends working on quilts or making cards.

My clean 98 pound dog - we gave him a bath this morning and he smells so good - he is a golden retriever named Pepper. The name fits him; he is still full of pep at the age of twelve.
DH just prepared us a hot dog to go with our cole slaw and baked beans - our 4th of July meal a day early
A clean house so I can now sit and watch a Hallmark movie - Yeah

Preparing dinner for the in-laws tonight as it's my father-in-law's birthday. I genuinely enjoy spending time with them so I'm looking forward to it. I'm making his favorite chocolate meringue pie for dessert.
The smell of the candle I've been burning lately. It's a pillar candle from Pottery Barn called "Autumn Spice." It must have been in my candle cabinet forever because it's not on the PB website any more. (I looked because I like it so much, I would buy more.) No telling how long I've had it. But, man, it smells good.
Being caught up on ironing. I had quite a little collection building up in the laundry room that I had been avoiding. But Friday I said no more and just got it done - both clothing and linens. Now I have to set the table for the birthday dinner tonight and I'm avoiding any of the tablecloths or napkins that require ironing. Haha. We're going with the ones that come straight out of the dryer ready to use.

1. Open windows with fresh air in the house and cool temps at night that are great for sleeping.
2. The hummingbirds visiting the feeders - and with the windows open I can hear them as they zip around the feeders.
3. The ornamental peppers we have in a pot on the front sidewalk are turning colors and are so bright and cheerful to look at.

My 3 things are of no consequence but they are all good for me things.
1. I got a new job. So far it is terrifying using the POS machine. All these popups and screens open. New boss is like a 15 on a ten point scale. Fun but just so fun. I liked him in the interview a lot, too.
2. My curly new hair. I love it curly. I prayed for this my entire life so I am going to enjoy it.
3. My finger and toe nails. I love painting them and making them look pretty. It's a self-care thing and it makes me feel girly. I love that too!
