The thread about SchoolHouse Rock got me to thinking that my kids missed out on that. (but I think they did say some teachers still used it in grade/elementary school)
But, I was always surprised at how much details of history they knew. Then they informed me it was because of "Liberty Kids". I guess it was kind of their SchoolHouse Rock, history edition. Longer, as in little episodes vs SchoolHouseRock 2-3 minute bits.
DD was junior/senior in high school and at a friends house when she frantically texted me knowing I was in town. "Mom,mom.mom. 'Mary' has Liberty Kids on dvd!!! They are on sale $5 at Target!! Please, please, please..."
She got them. When she takes the time to text out the excited little kid-like "Mom, mom, mom!" I'm hooked and done.
Did your kids (or your) get into and learn from Liberty Kids, like I did from Schoolhouse Rock?

My kids love Schoolhouse Rock and Liberty Kids.
I homeschool. We get the schoolhouse rock that relates to whatever we're doing from the library.
We watched all of Liberty Kids when we did the American Revolution this year.
The entire series is $5 at Michael's and you can use a 40% off coupon on it.

We have the Liberty's Kids DVD's too, and my kids have watched them multiple times.
I enjoyed watching them and trying to guess which celebrities voiced the characters. Sylvester Stallone was Paul Revere, Walter Cronkite was Ben Franklin, and Arnold Schwarzenegger was Baron von Steuben. And if I remember correctly, Ben Stiller voiced someone but I can't think of who it was.

My older son loved Liberty Kids. I will definitely go see if our Michael's or target has the DVD so my younger son can watch them, too.

Some of her friends were jealous (Target sold out quick then). I'll have to mention that if they're still interested.

We also have- and love- Liberty Kids. We studied the American Revolution this year (homeschool) and it was a fun extra.
I can't remember where we bought it, but I think we paid around $5. If not Target or Michaels, Amazon will surely have it.

we have and love both Liberty's Kids and Schoolhouse Rock and I'm often surprised by the little factoids they remember from both. My oldest (almost 25) used to watch Liberty's Kids on PBS when he was young - he was pretty excited when we found it on DVD for his littlest sister (and sat down and watched it with her)
I didn't grow up on Schoolhouse Rock but DH did - I remember checking it out on VHS (Math Rock, Grammer Rock) from the liberty for my oldest when we were homeschooling - it was an exciting day when the whole set came out on DVD
