Well, I'm purging today and one thing leads to another...
So I have maybe 20 VHS tapes (home movies) and most say they are 120 minutes but I'm certain they are much shorter. I haven't had a VHS player in decades.
Can Sams, Walgreens, etc transfer them and then are they transferred to DVD? We don't have those either.
Can they do it to a flashdrive??
I'm super not techie but these things just take up so much space, what do people transfer them to these days?
Any ideas how much it costs?
Thanks!

I've heard that SAMs does it and it's relatively inexpensive.

I used Legacybox to transfer my tapes. They will also put them on a backup flash drive. They have a 25% off coupon right now, too.

If you can get your hands on a cheap VHS player, you could just transfer them to your computer. That's what I did a few years back. Craigslist/Facebook pages often have super cheap players.

I think Costco does it too. We didn't have VHS tapes but Super-8 movies and slides from DH's childhood, we had them put onto DVDs.

I've used this website for all of my transfers: LEGACYThey are like HobbyLobby - they are always running a sale, so never pay for price!
